9 people in the jealousy case causing chaos on Lai Chau pedestrian street were arrested

The wife suspected that her husband was having an extramarital affair, so she brought a group of relatives over to talk. During the meeting, a fight broke out between the two sides, causing chaos in the walking street in Lai Chau.

Lai Chau Provincial Police said that Lai Chau City Police have made an emergency arrest and criminal detention of 9 subjects including: Vu Thi Xuyen, Vu Thi Xuan (Xuyen's sister), Nguyen Thai Thanh, Nguyen Thai Thinh (Thanh's father), Nguyen Duc Manh, Nguyen Van Linh, Le Thai Hoc, Do Anh Tuan and Nguyen Trung Hieu for acts of disturbing public order.

Previously on March 21, Xuyen, Xuan, Linh, Thanh, Manh, Thinh, Hoc and a few others went to Lai Chau City to find her husband, HHP, to talk because they suspected the other was having an affair. with a person named H. (residing in Tan Phong ward, Lai Chau city).

At about 7:00 p.m. on the same day, Xuyen and her group went to Ms. H.'s house on Hoang Dieu walking street (Tan Phong ward) and saw her husband eating with Ms. H. While Xuyen was shouting at Mr. P., Pham Thi Ngoc Yen (H.'s sister-in-law) arrived, the two had an argument.

This sister-in-law immediately called her husband, Nguyen Trung Hieu, to assist. Hieu and his cousin Do Anh Tuan came to help Yen. Next, Hieu used his hands to physically impact Le Thai Hoc. Seeing this, 7 people in Xuyen's group rushed in to support.

During the scuffle, both groups used plastic chairs, nail hammers, and sharp objects to cause chaos in the pedestrian street. The scuffle also left a number of people on both sides with minor injuries.

When the police appeared, the crowd dispersed. However, the clash caused chaos in the whole neighborhood, many people recorded videos and posted them on social networks. The next morning, a number of people involved in the above incident went to Lai Chau City Police to present themselves and hand over related tools.

Previously, also in Lai Chau, there was a serious case due to jealousy. Tuoi Tre Online reported that at around 9:00 a.m. on May 16, 2023, a case occurred in Bum To commune, causing Ms. VPM to pass away on the spot. Ms. VLN was seriously injured. After committing the crime, suspect Luong Van Quan (34 years old) fled.

Immediately after receiving the news, Muong Te District Police cooperated with the Criminal Police Department and Lai Chau Provincial Police to access the scene and investigate.

At 12:15 the same day, after more than 3 hours of committing the crime, Luong Van Quan was arrested by the authorities. Initially, Quan claimed that due to a jealous conflict, he used a sharp object to hit VPM (Quan's wife).

Seeing this, Ms. M.'s younger sister, Ms. VLN (25 years old), intervened and was also seriously injured by Quan. After committing the crime, Quan took his motorbike to a motorbike shop in Muong Te district town and sold it for 8 million VND.

After that, Quan continued to hide in a pile of old car tires behind the Bien Phong motel (Muong Te town) waiting for an opportunity to escape when he was discovered and arrested by the police.

The most recent case is the case of a young girl who was attacked by her lover after an argument, also in Lai Chau province. Accordingly, on the evening of March 5, 2024, Lai Chau Provincial Police said they were looking for murder suspect Lo Van Xuom (born 2001). The victim is Ms. Lo Thi L. (born 2003, residing in Tan Uyen district).

24 hours after the incident, Lai Chau Provincial Police arrested the suspect. At the investigation agency, Xom confessed that since the end of 2023, while working as a laborer in Hanoi, Xom and Ms. Lo Thi L. had had a love relationship.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, the two went to Ms. L.'s house in Tan Uyen to live together and bought a motorbike in installments. Due to lack of money for gambling, Xom pawned the above-mentioned car at a store in Sin Ho district.

Since then, there have been frequent conflicts and quarrels between Ms. L. and Xom. On the afternoon of March 5, Xom went out to drink in Phieng Ang village and was scolded by Ms. L. and kicked out of her house.

While the two were arguing, Xom took a sharp wooden object, about 40cm long, and impacted Ms. L.'s neck, causing the victim to suffer acute blood loss and pass away on the spot.
