According to Dan Tri, on the morning of October 8, the Search, Rescue and Rescue Command in Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province) said that it had found two more missing cases in the flash flood that occurred at dawn on September 10.
The 2 cases found are Mr. Hoang Van G. (born 1985) and grandson Hoang Quynh L. (born 2014). The identification of the 2 victims was carried out through DNA testing.
The local government determined that the flash flood in Lang Nu village caused 60 deaths, and 7 people are currently missing. Up to now, the number of safe people is 87 people.
The functional forces of Lao Cai province are mobilizing local people and equipment... focus on participating in the search for missing cases.
Recently, after nearly a month since the terrible flash flood occurred, Mr. Hoang Van Thoi had the opportunity to meet his neighbor Mr. Hoang Van Thoi again after Mr. Hoang Van Thoi had to be treated at the hospital.
Just like Mr. Thoi, Mr. Wrong not only suffered physical pain, but in the past few days, he also suffered mental pain when he lost his wife and 3 young children at the same time.
During the meeting, Mr. Thoi could not help but feel sorry for his villagemate because Mr. Thoi lost his mother, wife and 3 children. Meanwhile, Mr. Thoi constantly encouraged Mr. Thuong to quickly recover from his injury and overcome the pain of losing a loved one.
Sharing on Health and Life newspaper, Mr. Thoi said, "Currently, I am staying at my sister's house, with relatives taking care of me and encouraging me to relieve the pain of losing my family. In the past few days, I have been busy supporting my neighbors in the village to organize funerals for their relatives who died in the floods. My family is also arranging for a funeral according to local customs for my mother, wife and 3 children in the coming days."
Meanwhile, Mr. Tang after being discharged from the hospital is also staying at a relative's house so that relatives can support him because he cannot walk due to a pelvic injury. Although the storm and flood have passed, the pain of losing a loved one has not subsided, every time he mentions his wife and children, Mr. Wrong cannot hold back his tears.
It is known that one of the 2 cases found by the functional forces on the morning of October 8 is Hoang Quynh L. (SN 2014) who is also the daughter of Mr. Nham.
Currently, Mr. Nguyen's deceased relatives have not yet been given a funeral. "Since the time my relatives buried my wife and children, I have not been able to have a funeral because I have to wait for me to be discharged from the hospital, as well as have to renovate my mother's temporary house to have a place to hold ceremonies according to local customs, which cannot be done at other people's houses. In the next few days, everyone in the family will discuss to choose a date to invite him to do a funeral for my wife and 3 children, which can be held in this 9th lunar month," Mr. Xu shared with Health & Life newspaper.
The natural disaster has robbed his wife and children and his relatives, but the lucky men who survived in Nu Village like Mr. Thoi and Mr. Thuong are still willing to share the loss with the storm and flood people. Previously, during his stay in the hospital, Mr. Xu also asked his relatives to transfer 10 million VND on his behalf to the Vietnam Fatherland Front to help those affected by the flood with the message: 'The rest of Lang Nu shares with compatriots'.
Or on October 3, Mr. Thoi also went to Lang Nu kindergarten - where one of his children used to study, sending each student 1 million VND with the message: "I study for my child".
Although the future ahead is full of difficulties, but with a kind heart and strong will, it is hoped that Mr. Thoi, Mr. Xu or the people in Lang Nu village will overcome the pain to start their lives again.
