On March 17, Ho Chi Minh City Police are detaining female driver NTTN (41 years old, residing in Thu Duc City) to continue taking statements and investigating the collision of 10 motorbikes in Thu Duc.

Regarding the incident, the authorities determined that the female driver N. drove the car in the wrong lane (lane for motorbikes, no cars) and caused the collision. The authorities determined that Ms. N. had a B2 driver's license as prescribed.
At the same time, the police also found a letter with negative content in the car. Through verification, the female driver had previously consumed alcohol and beer due to family problems. Before that, at 5:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. N. was driving a Mercedes on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai.
At the Thu Duc crossroads, the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Le Van Viet streets, Ms. N. slowed down but mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal. As a result, the car rushed forward, colliding with 10 motorbikes waiting at the red light.
The car continued to rush through the intersection, colliding with a motorbike that was moving, causing damage to the motorbike and seriously injuring the driver. After the incident, Ms. N. got out and burst into tears.
Authorities also sealed off and investigated the scene and took Ms. N. in for questioning. According to information, Ms. N. showed unusual behavior after the collision.
Authorities found a letter written by the female driver with negative content. When working with Ms. N., police officers noted that she had suffered a shoc.k in her love life and family and was having negative intentions.
Investigators had to spend a lot of time calming the driver down before they could take his statement. The police tested his alcohol level with a measuring device, and the result was more than 0.4 mg/liter of breath. Ho Chi Minh City police are consolidating the case file to handle the driver according to regulations. Mr. Tinh was fortunately not injured, but Mrs. Loan suffered back pai.n and was taken to the Eastern Military Hospital for a health check.
Another person, Ms. Thai Thi My T. (25 years old), said that while sitting behind a motorbike driven by a friend, crossing Thu Duc intersection in the direction of Le Van Viet and Vo Van Ngan, a Mercedes suddenly rushed forward, hitting the motorbike, causing Ms. T. and her friend to fall onto the road.
