The latest developments in the case of 6 Vietnamese people who died in a hotel in Bangkok (Thailand) were reported by the Lumpini Police Department. Accordingly, there appears to be a second suspect.
Accordingly, the police invited Mr. H., 50 years old, Vietnamese nationality, ex-husband of Ms. NTPL - one of the 6 people who died in the case for questioning. He was invited for questioning at Lumpini police station because it was discovered that he was the person who made the video call with Ms. NTPL before her death.
Through interrogation, Mr. H. declared that he and Ms. NTPL had children together, but they were no longer living together. Before his ex-wife passed away, they spoke to each other via video call. The interrogation lasted 5 hours with the help of an interpreter.
It is known that the investigation team is continuing to question Ms. NTPL and Ms. Sherine Chong, who is the one who persuaded everyone to contribute capital to invest in hospital business in Japan. Police do not rule out the possibility that two suspects poisoned others.
For Ms. Sherine Chong, the suspect announced so far in the case, information from the US Special Investigation Unit has been coordinated. This person has a history of being reported to San Francisco police for allegedly defrauding money. This is a case that took place more than 10 years ago, but the US prosecutor did not order charges, so the suspect has no criminal history.
Meanwhile, tour guide PNV, during interrogation, told the police that Ms. NTPL often traveled in the same tour bus with him, so she was familiar to a certain extent. As for the fact that he was asked by Mrs. NTPL to buy "snake medicine", this is a medicine commonly recommended by tour guides to tourists and is a medicine to treat rheumatism.
Khaosod News said that in Thailand in recent years, there have been many cyanide poisoning cases. Typically, last year, a female suspect nicknamed "Am Cyanide" was accused of harming at least 14 people by lacing their food with cyanide.
After the "Am Cyanide" case, the police conducted a major investigation into the origin of the cyanide. The results showed that the cyanide used in this case was PanReac from Spain, imported by 1 of 15 Thai companies. This cyanide has a concentration of 75%.
The investigation questioned 31 people who ordered cyanide, including a famous actress named Ice Preechaya. She ordered cyanide online for about 3,000 baht to kill venomous animals invading her home but had not yet opened the package. When she learned it was a banned substance, she handed it over to the police.
