Ministry of Health "checks" Doan Di Bang for the second time, recalls entire batch of sunscreen

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued a decision to suspend circulation, recall and destroy the entire batch of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products (box of 1 tube of 100g) due to not meeting regulations.

This is the second product of Doan Di Bang to be caught.

"This is my company's product, this sunscreen has the effect of protecting the ski.n, whitening, providing moisture, absorbing quickly, easy to spread. When you wake up, you can apply it immediately, it both moisturizes and protects against the sun. The sun protection index is the best SPF50 / PA, extremely convenient" - that is what Doan Di Bang advertises in the sunscreen product that has just been announced by the Drug Administration (Ministry of Health) to suspend circulation and recall.

Doan Di Bang's product promotion video can still be found on many platforms and has not been removed.

On May 16, a batch of Hanayuki sunscreen body products (full body sunscreen) in a box of 100 gram tubes distributed by the company of singer Doan Di Bang's husband was recalled and suspended from circulation by authorities.

The tested sample of the above product batch has a sun protection factor of (SPF: 2.4), different from the sun protection factor on the label (SPF 50).

VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (HCMC) is responsible for bringing products to the market, mainly products for families. EBC Group Company Limited - now EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company produces.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - Doan Di Bang's husband - is the owner of VB Group (established in 2021), the legal representative and General Director of the company. This company is the legal entity behind the Hanayuki cosmetics brand.

Previously, on May 7, a batch of Hanayuki shampoo - 300 gram bottles - distributed by Doan Di Bang's husband's company was also suspended from circulation, recalled and destroyed because it did not meet standards. Test samples showed that the product violated the limits of microbiological indicators and contained ingredients not listed in the standard announcement.

One day after the authorities announced the recall of the sunscreen batch, Doan Di Bang said that this was entirely the fault of the manufacturing plant, not her and her husband. She said that she was the one who suffered the direct loss, because she was the customer who imported the product from the manufacturing plant.

Doan Di Bang also announced the same thing with the suspended and destroyed product, Hanayuki shampoo.

Doan Di Bang's comment section was set to "filter" mode and received many "angry" interactions from the online community.

This sunscreen is no longer available on the official sales channel but some sites still show it. This product is listed for 240,000 VND.

In promotional videos posted on sales platforms and social networks, Doan Di Bang confidently affirms that the product is convenient, absorbs quickly, is non-sticky, moisturizes and cares for the ski.n every day, and has a sun protection index of SPF50 / PA.

Receiving a "wave of condemnation" from the online community, Doan Di Bang continued to post videos advertising other products from the company. This time it was toothpaste. She affirmed that the product used advanced teeth whitening technology, was safe for tooth enamel, cost only as much as a cup of milk tea and called on customers to buy and support it.

As for Doan Di Bang's husband, he also posted a notice that the manufacturer and distributor admitted their mistake. When an audience asked why they didn't pay attention to the quality and health of consumers, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu replied, "It's the fault of the manufacturer and factory."

Doan Di Bang, real name Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, born in 1990 in Ho Chi Minh City, won the Silver Prize at the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Golden Voice Contest. She released a few songs but her career was lackluster. In 2012, Di Bang turned to business, often appearing in the media to show off her lavish lifestyle and causing controversy because of many shocking statements.

Nguyen Quoc Vu is currently the General Director and legal representative of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (abbreviated as VB Group).
