But this way is so heartbreaking"; "I guess I miss my 3 children very much. I hope you will be strong enough to overcome soon"; "Mr. Thoi's pain never subsides. Love you".
Immediately after being posted, the image of Mr. Thoi going to Lang Nu kindergarten to give gifts to the children attracted attention from the online community. Everyone was touched by the beauty of the man who lost his whole family after a terrible landslide on September 10.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nu - in charge of Lang Nu kindergarten confirmed that Mr. Thoi gave gifts to the children. She said that he is the parent of a student who used to study at this school. However, the baby died in the recent landslide.
Mr. Thoi came to the school yesterday (3/10). After that, he gave cash to 32 children, each of whom received 1 million VND. On Mr. Thoi's side, he said that he lost a lot. He felt sorry for the preschool children who used to go to the same school as his children, so he decided to help each child with 1 million VND. "I hope you continue my children's unfinished studies," he choked up and shared.
On the morning of October 4, Mr. Thoi also went to Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School - where his and his wife's eldest children attended to offer to give 13 students one million VND each. However, the school saw that he was still very difficult, the loss was too great, so he asked for permission and did not receive his heart. They also sent their sincere thanks to this man.
Earlier (evening of September 9), Mr. Thoi took his mother, wife and children to his sister-in-law's temporary residence due to the discovery of signs of a landslide behind the house. He thought it was a safe place, but after a loud explosion, water and rocks rushed down, and his sister-in-law's house was completely buried.
Overnight, Mr. Thoi lost 5 relatives including: mother, wife and 3 children. After receiving the son-in-law of 4 relatives, he tried to suppress his tears, wading through the mud throughout the scene to find his youngest son named Hoang Duc Long. After 12 days, the baby's cold body was found.
Many times, Mr. Thoi has actions that make fans choke. Specifically, this afternoon, September 24, nearly 400 officers and soldiers of Military Region 2 and border guards withdrew from Lang Nu, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district (Lao Cai) after 2 weeks of searching for missing people due to the terrible flash flood.
At the moment of farewell, many people in Lang Nu as well as the soldiers could not help but choke. People lined up to say goodbye to the soldiers, accompanied by tears, hugs, simple but loving cakes.
In particular, in the group of people who saw off the soldiers, the image of Mr. Hoang Van Thoi - the only survivor in a family of 6 people in Lang Nu - Lao Cai burst into tears, making anyone who witnessed it unable to help but cry.
After just one night, Mr. Thoi faced too much pain that no one could imagine. More than anyone else, Mr. Thoi understands the pain brought by natural disasters, and is even more grateful for what the soldiers have done for Nu Village over the past 2 weeks, so that his relatives can return to their families.
Many people left comments when they saw these images: "I just saw Mr. Thoi crying so much today, maybe you have suppressed this pain for too long...", "The images are indescribable. Love is more than love. Mr. Thoi tried hard...". Up to now, there are still 12 people in Nu Village who are missing. The search will be handled by nearly 200 local people.
