On September 20, 2011, the People's Court of Lai Chau province opened a trial and sentenced Thao Thi Chía to 8 years in prison. At this time, the defendant Thao Thi Chía was raising a child under 36 months old, so the provincial People's Court issued a decision to postpone the execution of the prison sentence.

During the postponement of serving his prison sentence, Chía fled the locality. On 29/10/2014, the Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency of Lai Chau Provincial Police issued a Wanted Decision for Thao Thi Chia. On 12/11/2014, the Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency coordinated with functional units to arrest the subject Chía who was hiding in Lan Nhi Thanh commune, Phong Tho district.

Because he was raising a small child, Chía continued to be temporarily suspended from serving his prison sentence by the Provincial People's Court. During the time she was at home, the "evil woman" thought that she would be aware of herself being sentenced by the Court to a very humane sentence for Thi to rebuild her life, but with shallow thoughts, Thi continued to flee for the second time.

After nearly 10 years of persistently tracking down the traces of the subject along with dozens of times sending letters of appeal and mobilizing the subject to surrender without results, the Judgment Enforcers have coordinated to use professional measures to trace the subject to identify clues suspected of Thao Thi Chía hiding in Yunnan Province (China).

With the determination to catch the wanted person, not to let the subject continue to live outside the law, he can continue to commit new crimes, endangering society. The THAHS Police Department has advised and proposed the Director of the Provincial Police to establish a special investigation case with secret number 524C to arrest Thao Thi Chia. At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Police Staff Department to exchange and request the Chau Hong Ha Public Security Department (Yunnan, China) to verify the subject.

Thanks to the enthusiastic coordination and responsibility of the Chau Hong Ha Public Security Bureau (China), the Special Task Force determined that after illegally entering China, Thao Thi Chía used the fake name Thao Tieu Tai, changed her birth year from 1994 to 1995 and illegally married a man in Kim Binh district, Yunnan Province, China.

Under the direction of the Director of the Provincial Police, the Deputy Director, the Head of the THAHS agency, the special case committee coordinated with the Chinese Police force to successfully solve the case and arrest Thao Thi Chia. Currently, the subject Thao Thi Chía has been handed over by the Criminal Judgment Enforcement Agency of Lai Chau Provincial Police to the Provincial Police Detention Center to serve the sentence in accordance with the law.
