Covid 19 cases increase rapidly, Ministry of Health prepares facilities for isolation and treatment

In the document, Dr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, said that currently, the world has recorded an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in some countries such as Brazil, UK, Thailand... In Vietnam, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 148 scattered cases of COVID-19 recorded in 27 provinces and cities and no patients have died.

To proactively respond to the COVID-19 epidemic situation, ensuring good examination, detection, admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests directors of hospitals and institutes with beds under the Ministry of Health, directors of Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities, heads of health departments of ministries and branches to urgently review and update the admission and treatment plans for COVID-19 patients of the province and medical examination and treatment facilities according to the forecast of the epidemic situation, avoiding passive and unexpected response.

Prepare facilities, isolation areas, medical equipment, and medical supplies to organize admission, isolation, diagnosis, treatment, and infectio.n control.

The Ministry of Health requires strengthening infectio.n prevention measures, especially respiratory infections, to minimize the spread of disease in medical examination and treatment facilities. There are solutions to ensure safety for patients in high-risk groups (such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, serious illnesses, the elderly, etc.), intensive care areas, cardiovascular, artificial kidney, surgery, etc.

At the same time, strengthen the work of cleaning the outside environment, cleaning the hospital rooms, arranging the departments conveniently, suitable for the epidemic situation and ensuring a green, clean and beautiful environment.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management also requested units to seriously implement case reporting according to the provisions of Circular 54/2015/TT-BYT dated December 28, 2015 of the Minister of Health.

According to the report of the Hanoi CDC, in Hanoi, COVID-19 increased after the holiday. In the past week, the city recorded 23 cases of COVID-19, no serious cases died. It is forecasted that in the coming time, the number of COVID-19 cases in Hanoi may continue to increase slightly and appear sporadically, due to many crowded events and festivals along with increased interaction and travel during the summer.
