Ms. D. said that she rented this space for 32 million VND/month half a month ago. Ms. D. invested about 800 million VND to repair and operate food and beverage services.

Mrs. D. said that Mina Dating Cafe is modeled after Japan. The shop is designed according to the model of 'dating', there are 2 separate rooms for men and women, the male room is designed with low, black, darker chairs. The female room is designed in white color separated by 1 mirror. This mirror has one-dimensional "penetration", allowing male customers to see the reflection of female customers, but female customers cannot see male customers.

"This model I opened up was for the sole purpose of connection. However, the shop's use of one-way mirrors has caused controversy. The reason I set a one-way example is because it is easy for one party to take the initiative to invite the other party to talk," Ms. D said.

When male guests read the basic information of the girls and want to "pair" up, press the bell mounted on the wall for the staff to "bridge" the conversation. If the girl agrees, the two will go to a small room of about 1.5m2 to continue talking and getting to know each other. This small room is also shielded by 1 curtain.

According to advertisements on social media, this café has time-divided packages, male guests will be the ones who pay and female guests will get free service packages and drinks. Packages include: 1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day, 3 days with prices from 180 thousand VND to 1 million VND and drinks are charged separately. For the 3-day package, male guests will be paired, unlimited 3-day chat with female guests and no additional charges when using the service for 3 consecutive days.

In order for the restaurant to be crowded, the owner makes signs and menus in many different languages; posted advertising articles on many social networking sites and groups related to foreigners, and the shop also hired 2 Tiktokers to shoot reviews.

Therefore, male visitors to use the service are mainly Chinese, Korean, Japanese ... It has only been open for 20 days, but the number of visitors to the shop is very large, on June 1 alone, this 'dating' café has welcomed 20 male and 24 female customers and reached a total revenue of nearly 7.5 million VND. Each male guest spends about 350 thousand VND for the coffee session and female guests do not have to pay.

Currently, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the business purpose as well as legal issues related to the business registration industry, labor contract and fire protection of this establishment.
