When this group was operating in the area of Co Bo temple, Ha Trung district, the police arrested and seized all the stolen evidence.

At the police station, the subjects confessed that they were run by Ngo Thi Phuong and went to the 2023 Han Son festival to steal and pickpocket bags from tourists.

Around 8:10 am, while praying, Mrs. Chung collided with a woman passing in front of her. In just about 10 seconds, when this person passed by, the bag was suddenly unlocked and her iPhone XS was also lost shortly after.

Panicked by the theft, Ms. Chung called her husband to search but could not find the woman. Then she asked her daughter to access icloud (the location system of iPhone phones) to locate the phone on the map.

Knowing the location of the subject, Ms. Chung and her husband followed and reported the incident to the Ha Trung district police officer. When the police force arrived at the scene, the other phone was turned off, so the search had to stop.

At about 11:28 am on July 23, Ms. Chung's daughter called and said that the Iphone XS had reopened and the location was determined to be at a house on Nguyen Trai Street (Tan Son Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

As soon as they received the news, Ms. Chung and her husband rushed back to find the phone, and at the same time did the procedures to lock the sim and lock the bank account in case thieves took advantage of it to appropriate property. .

At 3pm on the same day, Ms. Chung's husband called and informed about the location of the phone to the leader of the Ha Trung District Police for this unit to investigate and clarify.

Around 10 pm, an officer from the Investigation Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police called Ms. Chung's family to identify the stolen phone. However, because the number of phones that the police seized was too much, for a while, Ms. Chung could not find her iPhone XS.

The case is still being investigated and clarified by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Agency. The target group will have to bear the deserved punishments for their law violations.
