Thu Duc: Shipper had his car and goods stolen while eating pho, discovered it was too late

The camera recorded the scene while the male delivery driver entered the restaurant for lunch, a thief stole his motorbike and all of his goods. The incident happened in just 12 seconds, surprising everyone.

On April 22, Long Thanh My Ward Police (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) said they had received a report from a male delivery driver whose motorbike and goods had been stolen in the area.

The victim is Mr. HVS (34 years old, from Vinh Long). According to Mr. S.'s report, on the afternoon of April 21, he rode a motorbike carrying a shopping cart to deliver to a company in Thu Duc City.

At around 11 a.m., Mr. S. parked his motorbike on Hang Tre Street (Long Thanh My Ward) to go to a restaurant for lunch. Hearing the owner say "out of rolls", he went to the pho restaurant next door to eat without following on his motorbike and also left the keys in the car.

A few minutes later, two young men riding a motorbike approached. The person sitting behind got out and stole Mr. S.'s motorbike and goods and escaped. When Mr. S. discovered that the thief was stealing the car, he shouted and the people ran to chase him but could not make it in time.

The incident took place for about 12 seconds and was recorded by security cameras. According to Mr. S., the box has more than 80 orders being prepared to be delivered to customers with a total value of more than 11 million VND. The case is being investigated and handled by the police.

Not long ago, in Cu Chi district, there was also a case of a shipper having both his vehicle and goods stolen as in the case of Mr. S. The victim was MVP (36 years old, residing in Cu Chi district). After the incident, this person went to report to the police.

It is known that Mr. P. has been working as a shipper for nearly two years. On the afternoon of November 29, 2023, because he had contacted the customer in advance to receive the goods that the customer returned to the shop, Mr. P. parked his car in front of the house gate on Pham Van Cheo street (Cu Chi town, Cu Chi district), Walked inside to pick up the goods and then went straight to the car.

However, when Mr. P. went inside, a man climbed on Mr. P.'s motorbike and accelerated away. Discovering the incident, Mr. P. immediately shouted and ran after him. At that time, a resident heard Mr. P. shouting and took his motorbike to chase him, but searched many places but could not find him.

Mr. P. then reported the incident to the police. The camera clip recorded the incident of Mr. P. shouting to chase after the intruder and was later shared on social networks, along with the status line: "Hearing the screams makes my heart ache."

According to Mr. P., the lost vehicle was an old motorbike he had been using for delivery for nearly two years. More than 30 orders were missing from the truck that he had not yet delivered to customers. This person estimated the total value of the lost goods from about 7 to 10 million VND.

Also according to Mr. P., before the incident, people's cameras recorded images of the man walking on Pham Van Cheo Street. "Now my wish is to find the lost car and goods" - Mr. P. shared.

After receiving information from Mr. P., Cu Chi Town Police coordinated with Cu Chi District Police to urgently intervene and investigate. People also discovered a man suspected of stealing Mr. P.'s motorbike and goods and reported it to the police.

"This person dried his shirt and pants in front of the house. The shirt and pants were very similar to the outfit the thief wore when he took the male shipper's car and goods," said a resident.

Police later identified Nguyen Minh Tuan (39 years old, residing in Cu Chi district) as the suspect in stealing the male shipper's car and goods. This person was invited by the police to headquarters to serve the investigation.

On December 1, 2023, Cu Chi District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) compiled a file and took testimony from Nguyen Minh Tuan to investigate the property theft case that occurred in Cu Chi town.
