Four employees of a delivery company in An Giang were recently prosecuted and detained by Long Xuyen City Police on charges of embezzlement and property theft, with a total amount of up to hundreds of millions of dong.

From April 2023 to August 2023, after receiving delivery orders and successfully receiving money from customers, Loc, Khoa, Toan and Khanh did not return the money to the company but used Fraudulent tricks to appropriate money for personal expenses.

Of which, Toan appropriated over 16 million VND; Khanh appropriated more than 31.8 million VND; Khoa appropriated more than 55.3 million VND; Loc appropriated the amount of over 36.7 million VND and the goods of 84 failed delivery orders were worth more than 27.7 million VND.

In addition, Loc also stole 3 high-value orders from the company, took them out of the post office and delivered them to customers for an amount of over 10 million VND. Accordingly, on April 19, 2023, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City rejected all of the defendant's appeals and the Procuracy's protests, affirming the 3-year prison sentence for defendant Banh Tat Hoai (30 years old, hometown of An Giang) on charges of property embezzlement.

According to the content of the first instance court case, Hoai is a delivery staff of Tiet Kiem Delivery Joint Stock Company - Ho Chi Minh City branch (Tiet Kiem Delivery Company).
