The defendants all reside in An Giang province.

According to the indictment, in 2019, with the permission of the People's Committee of Chau Phu district, An Giang province, Nam Viet Binh Phu Aquaculture Company Limited signed a contract with Thuan Trung Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company. After calling for help, Phuong, Phan, Dao, Nhan and Phien continuously insulted the police force. Not stopping there, Phuong's family also used pots, plastic barrels, metal bars, boiling water mixed with shrimp paste, gasoline-soaked rags and many other items to attack the forces on duty, injuring many officers. .

Here, the police force made a record to arrest the offender red-handed and confiscated many related evidence. Phuong, in particular, was not careful while using an oil-soaked rag and was burned. On August 31, 2023, Phan, Dao, Phien and Nhan were prosecuted. On October 27, 2023, Phuong was prosecuted.
