Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended in Decree 123/2021/ND-CP) stipulates that car drivers who violate the alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of bloo.d or exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath will be fined from 6 million VND to 8 million VND. Specifically, according to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP, the fine is set for violators as follows:

- For automobiles and similar vehicles, a fine of between VND 4-6 million (Point b, Clause 5, Article 5) and an additional fine in the form of deprivation of the right to use the driver's license for 1-3 months (Point b, Clause 11, Article 5).

- For motorcycles, mopeds (including electric motorcycles) and similar vehicles, a fine of between VND 800,000 and VND 1 million (Clause g, Clause 4, Article 6) and an additional fine in the form of deprivation of the right to use the driving license for 1-3 months (Point b, Clause 10, Article 6).

- For tractors and special-use vehicles, an administrative fine of 2-3 million VND (Point d, Clause 5, Article 7). In addition, there is an additional penalty for tractor operators, which is deprivation of the right to use driving licenses for 1-3 months, and for drivers of special-use vehicles, the right to use certificates of fostering legal knowledge on road traffic is deprived of 1-3 months (Point a, Clause 10, Article 7).

- For bicycles, motorcycles (including electric bicycles) and other rudimentary vehicles, the fine is from VND 100,000 to VND 200,000 (Point b, Clause 2, Article 8).
