Specifically, in Clause 10, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP stipulates, drivers of vehicles being cars and similar vehicles if they fail to comply with the requirements of alcohol content tests of public officials, a fine of VND 30-40 million. At the same time, it is possible to lose a driver's license (GPLX) for 22-24 months and have the vehicle impounded for up to 7 days.

At the same time, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP also clearly stipulates that drivers of vehicles that are motorbikes, motorcycles (including electric scooters), motorcycle-like vehicles and motorcycle-like vehicles that fail to comply with the requirements of alcohol testing of public officials will be fined from VND 6-8 million. In addition, they are also deprived of the right to use the license for 22-24 months and impounded for up to 7 days.

Drivers of tractors and specialized vehicles will be fined from 16-18 million VND, according to Point b, Clause 9, Article 7.
