Accordingly, a defendant gave a full confession, said that Ms. Truong My Lan donated VND 1500 billion and proposed to make a list of people who are owed money to demand money and overcome the consequences of the case.

At the trial, the defendant Duong Tan Before (41 years old, of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) HCMC) - General Director of Tuong Viet Trading and Production Co., Ltd. (Tuong Viet Company) claimed that Truong My Lan was awarded VND 1,500 billion when providing legal support, applying for a license for Ms. Lan in two projects Mui Lamp Red and Saigon Binh An project.

With this amount, Truong My Lan also directed his accomplices at SCB to lend VND 1,500 billion to Tuong Viet Company, although the collateral was not correct and inappropriate, but actually withdrew money from SCB so that Truong My Lan gave Duong Tan Before VND 1,500 billion, and actually disbursed VND 1,498 billion.

Duong Tan Before explained that the defendant's company specializes in providing generator systems, elevators, wooden furniture ... and active in real estate. In the process of doing business and cooperating in providing equipment and furniture for Truong My Lan, the defendant saw the potential of Ms. Lan's real estate projects in large positions, so he wanted to cooperate with her.

After receiving money from SCB, the accused lent it to several people. Therefore, the accused made a list to the investigating agency and the Court to demand that these persons pay for the redress of the case.

Defendant Yang Jin Prior said that in the list, there were some people who had paid through the defendant's wife, but had not paid enough.

Duong Tan Before also testified that around April 2021, Truong My Lan exchanged and agreed with Duong Tan Before about Lan transferring the Thanh Yen project to Duong Tan Before and Tuong Viet Company for VND 2,500 billion, but Before did not have to pay money but only needed to make loan documents at SCB. The amount of debt received will be VND 3,500 billion.

Regarding giving Truong My Lan VND 1,000 billion/VND 3,500 billion loan from SCB, the court asked Duong Tan Prior that legally the defendant is the loan signatory responsible, and how the defendant Lan takes it, the Construction Council will consider.

According to the indictment, after the case was prosecuted, on October 17, 2022, Duong Tan Before and Tuong Viet Company paid part of the principal and interest, so far the outstanding balance of 2 loans is more than VND 900 billion.

Duong Tan Before also received more than VND 2,697 billion from Truong My Lan. Duong Tan Before gave back to the owner of Van Thinh Phat more than 492 billion VND, so far it is more than 2,204 billion VND.

The defendant voluntarily returned the entire amount to Truong My Lan to remedy the consequences of the case and wished to use all assets with his family to remedy the consequences of the case.

Defendant Bui Anh Dung (former Chairman of SCB Bank) testified that he was well aware that he was "a tool of Truong My Lan".

"The defendant's salary is divided into several periods, the lowest is about 70 million and the highest is 500 million VND. In addition to salary, Truong My Lan gave 500,000 shares," Dung said, adding that the shares were given by Truong My Lan to encourage employees working at SCB.

" In addition to the 500,000 shares, did the defendant receive any additional money from Truong My Lan?" the presiding officer asked.

Answering the Construction Council, Dung said that Truong My Lan gave VND 40 billion on Tet 2020-2021.

" It is normal for the owner to give to employees, the employee complies well, the owner will give it," Dung said, wishing to return VND 40 billion.

" The defendant owns the house (which is being foreclosed), saves, buys SCB bonds... a total of 30 billion. Currently, the family has paid 5 billion to remedy the consequences, the defendant has a shortfall of 35 billion more," Dung said.

During today's questioning, the defendants, who are former SCB executives indicted for Banking Violations, other activities related to banking activities all admitted to the offence as stated by the indictment.

The defendants said they were only salaried or did not know the situation, only followed directions, limited roles and did not benefit from anything. At the same time, it is expected that the Board of Directors will consider extenuating circumstances.

Also during the interrogation hearing on the afternoon of March 7, the council announced that it had received a written statement from defendant Zhou Liji's defense lawyer that the defendant would authorize his daughter to recover the property on behalf of the defendant and remedy the consequences of the case.

The presiding judge affirmed that the jury would create maximum conditions for the defendants in the case to remedy the consequences, but demanded that the defendants have a specific list, which cannot be general.
