In the Van Thinh Phat case, Ms. Do Thi Nhan - Head of the Inspectorate was prosecuted for the crime of "abusing position and power while performing official duties".

According to C03, Ms. Nhan and members of the Inspection Team conducted an inspection, but the report to the State Bank's leadership was not true, leading to untimely supervision and control of SCB.

"This is a serious violation, C03 has handled it," Major General Thanh said.

Nguyen Phuong Hong - assistant to Van Thinh Phat Group Joint Stock Company; Ho Buu Phuong - former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tan Viet Securities Joint Stock Company, former Deputy General Director in charge of finance of Van Thinh Phat Group Joint Stock Company.

All 4 people were investigated for the crime of "fraudulent appropriation of property".

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the accused and a number of people involved in this case died suddenly during the proceedings. A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security said that this creates a few more difficulties for the investigation, but with the determination of law enforcement forces "the nature will be clarified, the law will be strictly enforced". .
