The cyanide poisoning case in Dong Nai: Tracking down the seller to the evildoer, taking action against the whole family

The Department of Chemicals proposes that organizations and individuals are only allowed to produce and trade limited chemicals when licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Along with that, strictly comply with the contents of the License and the commitments stated in the application for the License.

In particular, organizations and individuals operating related to chemicals are not allowed to sell restricted chemicals to subjects who do not meet the conditions specified in Article 17 of Decree 113 of 2017, that is, customers who buy for business must have a business license issued by a competent agency, customers who buy for use must ensure that they fully meet the requirements for the use of chemicals.

Organizations and individuals engaged in chemical-related activities need to strictly comply with regulations on making and keeping control sheets for the purchase and sale of toxic chemicals, developing and supplying chemical safety sheets.

Organizations and individuals dealing in restricted chemicals must fully implement the regime of annual reporting on chemical activities through the National Chemical Database System as prescribed.

The Department of Chemicals encourages organizations and individuals to enter information on the purchase and sale of restricted chemicals into the National Chemical Database System immediately after the purchase, sale, delivery and receipt of chemicals.

Notably, the Department of Chemicals proposes organizations and individuals producing, trading, storing, transporting and using cyanide and N2O compounds, proposing to implement the contents of the report on chemical activities from the beginning of 2024 to now and send it to the Department of Chemicals before August 15, 2024.

In addition, organizations and individuals monitoring the distribution system and customers, if detecting the sale of cyanide chemicals to customers Nguyen Thi Hong Bich (suspect in the poisoning case in Dong Nai) need to immediately report to the competent authorities.

Buying easily and cheaply poses a potential risk that some people use this chemical for the wrong purpose, threatening and poisoning the lives of others.
