Initially, Bich confessed to using cyanide to make 3 relatives (husband and 2 grandchildren) leave. Particularly, the nephew N.H.B.T. (18 years old) was treated by Le Van Thinh Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) and was discharged from the hospital.

Particularly for the other 2 cases, Bich's biological father and son, the investigating agency is clarifying whether or not there is a connection between the suspect's behavior and these people. According to Bich's testimony, in mid-October 2023, Bich put cyanide in the medicine for her husband, Mr. N.T.T.T. (38 years old), to drink, a few days later, this person left. Bich testified that the reason was that her husband gambled, so he quit poisoning.

Regarding the case, Mr. U (37 years old, Mr. T.'s younger brother-in-law, also the suspect's brother-in-law) said that he took his granddaughter (Mr. T.'s child) home to take care of him, after the police entered the investigation and Bich admitted to poisoning her husband.

Mr. U. said that the times when his brother got sick with symptoms of shortness of breath, chest tightness, headache... Bich's family took Mr. T. to People's Hospital 115 (Ho Chi Minh City). Ho Chi Minh City) for emergency treatment and took care of almost all hospital expenses.

At that time, the family did not understand why every time Mr. T. was treated at the hospital, his health recovered almost completely, but after returning home for a few days, Mr. T. became seriously ill again.

The last time he was admitted to the hospital on October 14, 2023, the younger brother did not forget the condition of Mr. T.'s "first death", purple limbs, fainting. However, when he was admitted to the 115 People's Hospital, the doctors saved him from being healthy again.

The doctor scheduled Mr. T. to be discharged from the hospital on October 18, 2023. The night before he was discharged from the hospital, Mr. U. called his family, opened online images, talked happily and walked normally on his own. Mr. U. said that at that time, Bich was next to Mr. T. However, the next day, before he was discharged from the hospital, the family received the news that Mr. T. did not pass.

"I received the news and was shocked. When he was at home, his brother fell ill and almost did not survive, but the hospital saved his life. When he was in the hospital, his health recovered well, he was monitored by the doctor and died suddenly, without any worries," Mr. U. shared.

Mr. U. also said that Mr. T. is a gentle person who loves his wife and children very much. When Bich testified to the police, the motive for taking action was due to his husband's passion for gambling, debt and lack of interest in business, which made Mr. U. angry.

"My brother assisted the family in the slaughterhouse profession, with a stable income. My brother gambled, but in moderation, not to the point of letting his wife and children suffer. My brothers often confide, so they know the situation very well. Our family has conditions, 2-3 billion VND to help Mr. T. is a small matter. I think my sister-in-law took Mr. T. for a different motive, not my brother's gambling," Mr. U. shared.

Regarding the male student N.H.B.T, the patient was conscious, at the time of discharge, the patient could walk on his own but still needed mobility support. The results of this treatment are considered very successful, because many other cases of cyanide poisoning, if they do not go away, brain arrest also have sequelae of severe brain damage, lying in one place.

Notably, after more than 2 weeks in the hospital in Ho Chi Minh City with a series of complex interventions such as adsorption dialysis, vasopressors, mechanical ventilation... The total cost of medical examination and treatment of young men is up to more than 173.6 million VND. In which, the health insurance fund paid more than 89.5 million VND, the family paid 87 million VND by themselves and was reimbursed by the hospital for the remaining hospital fees (minus health insurance) upon discharge.
