Reviewing the scene, the investigative agency discovered that the fence behind Mr. Diep's house had a male body covered with cement. At the investigation agency, Linh declared inconsistencies, many questionable points. After the struggle, Linh confessed to killing her biological father, then set up a fake scene.

The investigative agency then seized 3 bottles of water at the place where the body was discovered and some white crystals (suspected to be cyanide) in the trash can in front of the victim's house, also where Linh lived. It is known that Linh is currently studying at a university in Ho Chi Minh City.

Note that outside Mr. Diep's house, the part of bricks and cement that Linh bought to perform the act of hiding his father's body is still there.
