VNPay condemned for taking advantage of PR when approving drones to celebrate April 30th

The rehearsal for the display of 10,500 drones took place on the evening of April 28 at Bach Dang Wharf (HCMC), in preparation for the grand celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

However, the event - despite being called "VNPay Drone Show" - has encountered much controversy as VNPay's advertising images appeared heavily in the program.

According to the program's script, 10,500 drones will be arranged together to form symbolic images associated with the history of the Vietnamese people.

The rehearsal took place on the evening of April 28 to prepare for the performance on the evening of May 1.

According to the Organizing Committee, this will be the largest drone demonstration ever in Vietnam, with the proposal to set a national record being completed.

The rehearsal of 10,500 drones is expected to be a grand artistic event, an opportunity for people and tourists to feel the strength of solidarity, the aspiration to rise up and affirm Vietnam's role in the international arena in the new era.

However, the rehearsal still had some limitations that made viewers wonder.

According to those who witnessed the rehearsal, the iconic images and images of President Ho Chi Minh appearing in the night sky of Ho Chi Minh City moved viewers. However, the rehearsal also left viewers disappointed when the VNPay advertising logo and its services appeared too much.

According to the understanding, this is a practice session to get familiar with the space (because the number of drones set a record), check the content and especially pay benefits to the accompanying units. After the practice session, the Organizing Committee has drawn some experience for the official performance.

"The advertising part of the show does not include any content about paying benefits to the accompanying unit because benefits were paid during the practice session," a source said.

Accordingly, the general trend of the weather pattern is that the continental high pressure will strengthen to the south after weakening, creating conditions for the hot low pressure area in the west to become active again and establish a low trough with an axis at about 23-25 degrees north latitude. By April 30, this low trough will be compressed to the south and gradually filled with cold high pressure from the north.

In the south, from around April 30, the equatorial low pressure trough tends to gradually lift its axis northward and become more active. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis over the Central region is operating stably.

Faced with the above conditions, the weather in the Southern region and some neighboring tourist destinations has changed.

Regarding the weather in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Le Dinh Quyet, Head of the Forecast Department, Southern Hydrometeorological Station, said that on April 29-30, the clouds will change, sunny during the day, no rain at night, except for April 30, when there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places in the afternoon and evening. The highest temperature will range from 34-36 degrees, the lowest from 25-27 degrees.

From May 1 to 5, clouds change, sunny, hot weather narrows, rain tends to increase, some places have moderate rain, heavy rain, during thunderstorms need to be careful of lightning, strong gusts of wind and tornadoes; rain time is noon, afternoon, evening, night and early morning.
