Chairman of Van Thinh Phat Group also wants to transfer an additional 300 billion VND that the above individual paid to her to compensate her husband, defendant Chu Lap Co.

Lawyer Chu Thi Trang Van (defending defendant Truong Hue Van) asked the Procuracy and the jury to note this new detail for her client. According to her, this is an "extremely important" episode. In addition, when defending himself, defendant Duong Tan Truoc (General Director of Tuong Viet Company) said his loans allegedly caused losses of more than 6,000 billion VND. Currently, his account is frozen and his distrained assets are surplus to overcome the consequences.

Specifically, in Mr. Truoc's frozen accounts, there were more than 2,000 billion VND in both principal and interest, a series of real estate, and more than 813 billion VND has been paid for remediation.

According to the lawyer, the defendant voluntarily returned the money he received from Ms. Lan, using many valuable assets to overcome the consequences not only caused by the individual but also the general consequences related to the money she received.
