In the morning of the same day, while selling flowers for Valentine's Day on Phan Chu Trinh Street, Ms. T. was hit by a tree that collapsed. Discovering the incident, the girl was called by surrounding people to take her to Thien Hanh General Hospital in an emergency.
Authorities are still examining and clarifying the cause of the tree's fall. However, most likely due to high winds, the pine tree succumbed to the pressure, leading to the fall. At the scene, electrical systems, cables are not affected. Other florists on the side of Phan Chu Trinh road have moved to safer areas, the leader of the Thang Loi Ward People's Committee said.

Next, the People's Committee of Thang Loi ward mobilized forces to the scene to clean up fallen trees and check the status of some other pine trees inside the aforementioned bishop's compound to avoid similar incidents.
Thach added that it is now the windy season with localized cyclones. This whirlwind phenomenon is more intense than previous years. Therefore, the city has also directed to inspect and trim trees to ensure safety and avoid unfortunate incidents occurring.
A representative of Thien Hanh General Hospital said that at 9:45 a.m., the hospital received N.T.H.T. victims in a state of severe multiple injuries and coma. Soon after, doctors gave intensive resuscitation to the patient. According to the initial diagnosis, the victim suffered a fractured femur, a broken heel bone, multiple broken ribs, spinal injuries, brain injuries, etc.
"The victim was seriously injured. After first aid is completed, the family wishes to move to Ho Chi Minh City. HCM to continue treatment" - representative of Thien Hanh General Hospital information.
After first aid, T. was transferred to Highland General Hospital but did not survive.
Previously, Lao Lao newspaper reported that on the morning of January 13, in Buon Ma Thuot City, an ancient banyan tree on Phan Chu Trinh street (in front of Elephants Hotel, Thang Loi ward) suddenly broke part of its body, causing an injured woman to go to the emergency room.
Old banyan trees collapsed on some houses, branches fell on the road. At the same time, 1 woman riding a motorbike was crushed by a fallen tree and was taken to the emergency hospital by residents.
At the scene, several houses were affected, many motorbikes were crushed and branches of banyan trees fell onto the road over an area of hundreds of square meters. Receiving information, the authorities were present to regulate traffic, organize sawing down branches, clean trees.
According to one resident, at the time the tree fell, passersby were waiting for a nearby red light, otherwise there would be more casualties. "This ancient tree has a long history, over the years people realized the danger so they reported it to the local authorities. Local authorities have come to survey but the tree has not been sawed down," said a resident who lives nearby.
