At the meeting, Mr. Minh said that he is currently the largest shareholder of Sacombank, as well as the bank's chairman, so all rumors that affect him personally will also affect Sacombank, at the same time. affecting the interests of banks and shareholders.

Previously, a personal account on a social networking site named "THANG DANG" posted news about Mr. Duong Cong Minh being banned from leaving the country for participating in money laundering for Ms. Truong My Lan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Van Thinh Phat Company. - and some other information. Sacombank has also denied this rumor.

"I have nothing to do with Ms. Truong My Lan and Ms. Truong My Lan's cases. Her case has concluded an investigation and has been prosecuted by the prosecutor's office. This is a rumor Mr. Thang Dang wrote on Facebook", Mr. Minh affirmed.

According to Mr. Minh, the cause of this problem is when Sacombank lent money to Bamboo Airways. When Mr. Quyet was arrested, he had to work as a consultant for Bamboo Airways, the goal was to keep the loan from losing capital.

At that time, Mr. Thang asked for 200 billion VND personally. But then Mr. Quyet's family let Mr. Thang retire before new investors invested.

He suggested that Mr. Thang work with a new partner, but the new investor did not agree. Since then, Mr. Thang defamed Mr. Minh on Facebook and was fined by the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications.

At the congress, Sacombank leaders also announced business results in 2023 and strategic orientation for 2024.

Specifically, in 2023, Sacombank will achieve 9,595 billion VND in pre-tax profit, an increase of more than 51% compared to the previous year and completing the set plan. The on-balance sheet bad debt ratio is at 2.1%. However, credit quality is still generally controlled as the overall bad debt ratio decreased by 0.16%.

Regarding bad debt handling, in 2023 Sacombank will recover and handle 7,941 billion VND of bad debts and outstanding assets, of which 4,487 billion VND are items under the Project, reducing the proportion of total assets to 3%. . Setting up full risk provisions according to regulations, the total provision balance reached VND 25,099 billion, an increase of more than 10%, of which loan provisions increased by 34%.

As for Bamboo Airways' debt at Sacombank, Ms. Diem said Bamboo's current outstanding debt is VND 3,583 billion. For Bamboo Airways, Sacombank is the bank lending capital, this debt is in group 1.

Regarding the restructuring of the company's shareholders, this debt was previously secured by FLC's shares and assets. Currently, after the new group of shareholders comes in, Sacombank has recommended that real estate be used as collateral.

Bamboo Airways' debt is 100% guaranteed by new real estate plus old real estate and stocks. Therefore, loans at this airline cannot lose capital, because the collateral has high liquidity.

Regarding the profit distribution plan, Sacombank has 7,469 billion VND of profit to use for distribution. After setting up funds, the Bank has 5,716 billion VND in consolidated profit after tax. Combined with nearly 12,671 billion VND in retained profits from the previous year, Sacombank had 18,387 billion VND in accumulated consolidated retained profits.

In 2024, the Board of Directors estimates that the remuneration of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board will be 1% of consolidated pre-tax profit.
