According to sources from Vietnamnet, at noon on November 18, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district (Nghe An) Tran Thi Anh Tuyet said that there was a big fire at a factory in Nam Cam industrial park.
Specifically, the fire occurred at about 9:30 a.m. at a factory specializing in processing recyclable waste (not yet in operation) located in Nam Cam industrial park, in Trung Tien hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district. , Nghe An. The fire broke out strongly because this factory was full of flammable materials.
At that time, people and workers in this industrial park discovered a large column of smoke rising from a factory. The initial fire did not cause any loss of life. The workers ran out in panic to escape.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force and Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized many officers, soldiers and firefighting equipment to quickly arrive at the scene.
According to information from Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, as soon as the fire broke out, the fire prevention and fighting police force of Nghe An Police mobilized dozens of fire engines and hundreds of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. However, the fire spread quickly, making firefighting difficult.
By 11:30 a.m. on November 18, the fire was basically controlled and prevented from spreading to other areas. Currently, the cause of the fire in the industrial park is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
A similar fire occurred, according to sources from Vietnamnet, at noon on November 13, a fire broke out at a place specializing in manufacturing wooden furniture in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong. Some workers said that before the fire broke out, they heard a loud explosion coming from the paint warehouse.
After using on-site firefighting equipment but failed. Because the factory is thousands of square meters wide and contains many flammable substances, the fire quickly spread. People in the factory quickly ran out and reported to the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police dispatched many specialized vehicles and dozens of soldiers to the scene to participate in firefighting.
Also according to sources from Lao Dong newspaper, at 11:30 the same day, the fire was still burning. Observing at the scene, a factory of about 1,000 square meters was burned down and the corrugated iron roof collapsed.
The fire is spreading to another factory. The fire department deployed water in many directions to put out the fire. When the soldiers were extinguishing the fire, the wall and roof suddenly collapsed. Luckily, everyone was able to escape in time.
The location of the fire is located opposite the People's Committee of Binh Chuan ward, surrounded by hundreds of households. The fire made people panic. Many households nearby had to move their property outside to escape the fire.
Previously, according to sources from VTC News, on the evening of November 11, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that a factory in an alley on Be Van Cam Street (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) burned fiercely. The fire engulfed the factory, smoke rising sky high.
Initial information, at around 7:00 p.m. on the same day, people living around the factory area discovered a strong fire with many explosions. People and factory employees tried to put out the fire on the spot but were unsuccessful.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched 13 fire engines, 2 motorboats, 1 boat and 80 officers and soldiers to the scene, controlled and extinguished the fire. The fire was extinguished at 9:50 p.m. the same day.
Representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the fire burned about 2,000/17,000 square meters of area along with office equipment (computers), confectionery, electronic equipment, Bottled water of all kinds, cartons.
Authorities have protected about 15,000 square meters of the remaining area. Also according to PC07 Department, there is currently no estimate of damage from the fire.
