Posting distorted news about the Vietnam Football Federation, 1 Youtuber was hotly sanctioned

The online community is extremely agitated by the case of the Vietnam Football Federation ( VFF), which was misrepresented by a Youtube channel. The authorities immediately stepped in and issued a h.ot fine.

On June 7, the Ministry of Public Security said that the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications had just issued a decision to administratively sanction 7.5 million VND for Mr. Le Xuan Tien for posting false information infringing upon the legitimate rights and interests of agencies, organizations and individuals.

According to the authorities, Mr. Tien is the manager and operator of the YouTube channel "Football Dragon". This YouTube channel posted a clip that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) then asked the Ministry of Public Security to verify, saying that the posted content was distorted and false information, affecting the reputation of the Federation and the Vietnam National Football Team.

The Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control has coordinated to verify and work with Mr. Le Xuan Tien. At the police office, Mr. Tien admitted that the act of using the YouTube channel to make distorted and false informational comments, affecting the reputation of the Vietnam Football Federation and the Vietnam National Football Team.

Mr. Tien explained that the comments on the YouTube channel are personal views and not hostile to VFF. Mr. Tien removed the incorrect content and committed not to repeat the offense, and admitted that this practice violated the law.

It is not uncommon for YouTubers to take advantage of this platform to give inaccurate information, despite the views. Recently, on June 2, the Youtube channel "15s Binh Duong" managed by Mr. Nguyen Van T (34 years old, in Thanh Tuyen commune, Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province) posted video recordings related to the walking group with Minh Tue.

However, these videos posted with titles and cover photos show sensational content, views, and false information about the local security and order situation, causing confusion among the people. For example, on June 3, on the Youtube channel "15s Binh Duong" managed by Mr. Nguyen Van T, a clip was posted with the content: "The local sister said where the teacher is, extremely tense".

Through the analysis of the members attending the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van T was aware that he posted videos with titles and cover photos showing the content of "sensationalism", "views", false information about the security and order situation in the locality where Minh Tue passed. Some content is a bit superstitious... has caused public confusion, created curiosity and curiosity for people, leading to a large gathering of people obstructing traffic, adversely affecting the security and order situation.

The Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications asked Mr. Nguyen Van T to remove the video posted on Youtube channels and social networks and pledged not to repeat the same behavior. The authorities are completing procedures to handle administrative violations in accordance with regulations for Mr. T. With the above act, Mr. T will be fined 7.5 million VND.

In August 2023, the District 10 Police, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City also sanctioned Nguyen Phuc Gia Huy (known by the stage name Cucumber) for posting false information.

Previously, the District 10 Police worked with Gia Huy about him creating and uploading a video clip on the YouTube channel Cucumber with false information content on the Internet. From the above meeting, on August 16, 2023, the District 10 Police issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Mr. Nguyen Phuc Gia Huy for posting false information according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree 15/2020/ND-CP, with a fine of VND 7.5 million.

The remedy is to force Mr. Huy to remove the false information that has been posted. According to the police, after receiving the sanctioning decision, Mr. Huy complied with the payment of the fine.
