Regarding the case of Mr. LXH (born in 1994, working as a shipper) being assaulted by Tong Anh Tuan (born in 1982, residing in Phuong Liet ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) due to a conflict while participating in traffic, which occurred at noon on February 10, 2025, causing public outrage, on June 5, Tay Ho District People's Court will open a first-instance trial against Tong Anh Tuan for the crime of "Intentionally causing injury".
On the southern shipper's side, he asked Tuan to compensate more than 1 billion VND, including: Medical examination and treatment costs, lost income, mental damage and wages for relatives to support and care for,... During the investigation, Tuan's family paid 50 million VND in compensation to H.
At the time of the incident, Tuan was driving a Lexus carrying his family. When he arrived in front of a house in lane 310 Nghi Tam (Yen Phu ward, Tay Ho district), he saw Mr. H. sitting on a motorbike parked across the road, the front of the vehicle facing out, so he honked to ask for permission.
Seeing that the male shipper still did not make any move, Tuan drove his car to avoid the motorbike to pass but the front wheel of the motorbike got stuck. Tuan then got out of the car and went to Mr. H. to talk about this person's motorbike being parked on the road, affecting other vehicles.
At the same time, a relative of Tuan sitting in the car also had an opinion with the male shipper about parking the motorbike and Mr. H. challenged and reacted. When Tuan was preparing to get in the car to leave, he heard H. say something so he turned around and repeatedly physically impacted the victi.m.
The subject only got in the car and left after people around intervened. The incident was recorded by a security camera and spread on social media, causing public outrage. People were outraged by Tuan's hooligan and aggressive behavior and demanded that the law punish him severely.
After the incident, Mr. H. was injured and was taken to the hospital by locals for a health check. On February 11, Tuan turned himself in to the police. According to the forensic conclusion, the victi.m suffered 8% injuries, including a 3% concussion and a 5% fracture of the right eye socket.
It is known that Mr. H. and his wife are from Thanh Hoa, have 2 small children, and are in difficult circumstances so they rented a room in Hanoi. H.'s wife works for a small shop and he works as a shipper for a cake production facility to make a living. H. himself lost a hand due to a work acciden.t. The victi.m is said to be hard-working to make a living.
In another development also related to the shipper profession. Accordingly, social networks shared a clip recording the image of a male shipper suddenly fainting on his motorbike while stopping in front of the house to deliver goods to a customer. The incident happened at around 8:36 am on May 22.
According to the video clip, the male shipper was driving a motorbike carrying a box of goods, stopping in front of the door waiting to deliver the order. However, while taking pictures and preparing to deliver, he suddenly fainted, causing the motorbike to slowly tilt and the victi.m to fall to the ground.
Seeing the male shipper lying motionless, the woman was extremely panicked and kept shouting loudly to call the neighbors for help: "Oh, what happened? Oh my god! Mrs. Tu, why did he fall down here? Are you okay? Lie down and rest." A few dozen seconds later, the young man also woke up, slowly stood up and said, "It's okay, sister."
Immediately after that, the shipper also parked the motorbike, put his head on the handlebars to rest. Some people also ran over to help put the bike's kickstand up so the young man could sit down to rest and stabilize his health. "Sit down and rest for a bit, do you often get dizzy?", people asked the driver.
The exact cause of the male delivery manâs fainting is still unclear, but many people believe it may have been due to exhaustion or continuous delivery in the extremely ho.t weather in recent days. Some people also called on customers to be understanding if their orders are late, especially on days of inclement weather.
