At around 4pm that same day, a woman around 20-25 years old came to the class and said to Ms. Huyen: "Teacher, let me pick up TM". M. ran out after this woman. The two then went to the child's locker to get their personal belongings and left the school together.

At 5 p.m., M.'s mother texted the teacher to ask who had picked up the child. The teacher replied that a girl wearing glasses had come to pick her up. After confirming with the family and knowing that no one had come to pick up the child, Ms. Hoai immediately reported the incident to the school.

The woman who took baby M. away was identified as Dong Thi Ha Thu, 18 years old, residing in Hoang Lam ward, Thuy Nguyen city. Initially, there was information that Thu showed signs of mental illness. However, the statement from baby M.'s mother about her motive of "loving" raised many questions about Thu's mental state and true purpose.
