The scandal involving TikToker Pho Duc Nam has caused a stir in public opinion when the amount of money embezzled reached 5,200 billion VND. While the victims were seeking justice, a new trick suddenly appeared, making the community even more confused.

Recently, the scandal involving TikToker Pho Duc Nam, also known as Mr Pips, has attracted great public attention. Those affected by the activities of this group are struggling to find a way to recover their stolen property when a new trick appears, causing more anxiety for the community.

According to Da Nang City Police, the incident began when a series of fake Facebook accounts appeared, created by unknown individuals. These accounts, often named "Capital Recovery", "Support to Get Money Back", or even related to the Mr Pips case, attracted thousands of views, likes and comments. Their goal was nothing more than to exploit the misery of those who had lost money in the previous Mr Pips scandal.

With convincing promises, these accounts pledged to help victims recover more than 70% of the money they lost. Attractive advertisements such as "You don't have to worry anymore, I got my money back, you can too" appeared continuously, making many people believe that they had found hope to recover the damages caused by Mr. Pips.

However, no one knows that the comments from "successful people" are just tricks of a group of people with the sole purpose of building trust. These responses are all fake, with information cleverly constructed, making it easy for people to fall into the trap without knowing it.

Once they have attracted the attention of the public, the group begins to carry out the next steps in their plan. By collecting personal information from people who need to get their money back, they conduct these transactions through difficult-to-control methods such as electronic wallets or virtual currencies. This is especially dangerous, because these transactions are not easily traceable, creating conditions for the subjects to continue their crimes without being detected.

Not only stopping at collecting information, these impersonators also apply high technology to expand their scope of operations. With the support of artificial intelligence (AI) and automated robots, the subjects can fake voices or even impersonate influential figures to increase persuasiveness. This form makes identifying and distinguishing between real and fake more difficult than ever.

Many people were startled and worried about whether they could become victims of these reprehensible tricks. Negative reactions from the online community quickly appeared after this "support to get money back" trick was discovered.

Many people have repeatedly condemned the acts of exploiting others' losses for personal gain. Comments such as "How can you fake someone else's pain like that?" or "This is unacceptable" flooded social media sites.

There are also concerns that previous victims will be scammed again in the future if they do not remain vigilant. The anger and confusion is understandable as victims who have just escaped the financial crisis are now facing the risk of losing money again.

In response to the above situation, Da Nang City Police warned people not to believe in promises to get their money back, not to provide sensitive personal information, and not to conduct transactions through unofficial payment channels, especially e-wallets or virtual currencies. The police emphasized the protection of personal information, avoiding providing OTP codes, account numbers, and encouraged reporting unusual signs to receive timely support.
