Shipper hospitalized after being 'strangled' by customer for 7 million: revealin.g the developments of disagreement

Recently, information spread on social networks that a male shipper was hospitalized due to a conflict with a customer while delivering goods. The incident happened in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

The information made many people angry and indignant about the customer's behavior of 'interacting' with others as well as curious about the origin of the incident. Talking to the press, Mr. Le Thanh Quynh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Loi Commune, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, said that the authorities are investigating and handling the information about the incident where a male shipper was 'influenced' by a customer and was hospitalized.

Regarding the cause of the fight, the People's Committee of Le Loi commune informed that at around 9:15 a.m. on April 13, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dat (born in 1990, residing in Viet Hung ward, Ha Long city) went to An Bien 2 village, Le Loi commune, Ha Long city to deliver a set of gym equipment worth 6,590,000 VND to a customer named Mr. Le Van Tam (born in 1977, residing in Hoanh Bo ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province).

During the delivery, the two sides had a conflict because they could not agree on the payment method. Mr. Tam then cursed, slapped Mr. Dat in the face and refused to accept the goods. Specifically, because the goods were of high value, the shipper asked the customer to pay immediately or take the goods to the post office.

The male shipper said he was following the correct procedure when delivering the goods to the customer, but then the customer got angry, refused to take the goods, then started scolding, threatening and 'interacting' with the male shipper, causing his face to swell. The male shipper was then hospitalized.

The two subjects had an act of 'impacting' shipper Lam Anh Dat, resulting in 24% body injury. The origin of the incident also stemmed from a conflict over delivery fees.

Recently, there have been many cases of shippers being 'interacted'. In February 2025, in Hanoi, a male shipper was assaulted by a Lexus driver, causing bruises, nosebleeds, and headaches. Preliminary results from the Hanoi Forensic Center determined that he suffered a concussion, with a 3% injury rate. The police investigation agency then prosecuted and detained the Lexus driver to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.

In March 2025, a male shipper was injured by a couple in Binh Duong, and the police later detained the husband. The victi.m in the incident was Mr. N.D.T. (26 years old, from Dak Lak province). During the delivery, Mr. T. and the female customer who received the order had a conflict that led to an argument. Mr. T. said that he was insulted by the customer, so he defended himself and left afterwards.

After moving a short distance, the customer and her husband chased after her, attacked her with a weapo.n and knocked her down, causing injuries. Mr. T. was taken to the Bac Tan Uyen District Medical Center for emergency treatment in a state of head injury, heavy bleedin.g, fever... The family then requested to transfer Mr. T. to Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital.
