On April 27, news from the Police Department of Thu Duc City (HCMC), the authorities arrested 2 motorbike thieves and more than 80 orders from Mr. Huynh Van Son (34 years old, from Vinh Long). ) - working as a shipper. In addition, the police also arrested two more accomplices of the above two subjects when they committed many other thefts together in Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, the authorities are still expanding the investigation of the case and continuing to work with those involved, so they cannot provide specific information about the above group of suspects.
Previously, at about 11 a.m. on April 21, while delivering goods to a company in Thu Duc City, Mr. Son rode a motorbike carrying a shopping cart to a restaurant on Hang Tre Street (Long Thanh My Ward) to eat. Hearing the restaurant owner say "out of rolls", the shipper went to the pho restaurant next door to eat without following the motorbike and also leaving the key.
A few minutes later, two young men on a motorbike approached. The person sitting behind got out and stole Mr. S.'s motorbike and goods and escaped. When Mr. Son discovered that the thief was stealing the car, he shouted and the people ran to chase him but could not make it in time.
The incident took about 12 seconds and was recorded by security cameras. Mr. Son said that the box had more than 80 orders being prepared to be delivered to customers with a total value of more than 11 million VND.
According to Mr. Son, his family has quite difficult circumstances. More than 5 years ago, he left his hometown with his wife to start a business in Ho Chi Minh City. For many reasons, the couple had to send their young children to the countryside to be cared for by relatives.
"Previously, I was a freelance worker, making ends meet. Two years ago, the economy was difficult, both my husband and I switched to being shippers but it wasn't very well off.
Every month, the amount of money I save is only enough to send money back home to feed my children, the rest is just enough to pay for room and board, and there is nothing left over from work. Now I've lost my car or lost my goods and have to run around and borrow money from everywhere to pay the company," the male shipper said.
From the day the incident happened until now, other than helping his wife deliver goods, Mr. Son has only stayed at home. Always tormented by my own subjectivity. He and his wife even had to hide the loss of their property from their family because they did not want them to worry more and give up the idea of returning home to visit their family and children on the upcoming April 30-May 1.
Knowing Mr. Son's difficult situation, Ms. Nguyen Do Truc Phuong (30 years old, living in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) called on sponsors and benefactors to join hands to support the male shipper and his wife to get more funds. Buy a car to continue going to work and compensate for the stolen order.
By the afternoon of April 25, Ms. Truc Phuong said she had received 80 million VND to support Mr. Son from sponsors. Immediately after that, the woman and the male shipper immediately went to buy a new motorbike as a means of transportation and could return to their delivery work.
Thanks to everyone's help, Mr. Son and his wife can probably feel secure to return to reunite with their family during the upcoming holiday season and have more motivation to work, make a living, and take care of themselves. for elderly parents and small children in their hometown of Vinh Long.
