In the past few days, social media users have shared the story of a customer in Hanoi who went online to "prompt" the shipper who delivered their food to cheat because he arbitrarily rounded the goods from 139 thousand to 140 thousand dong.
Specifically in the post, the female customer said that on the evening of May 14, she ordered a meal and asked her family to come down to pick up her belongings.
"My sister went down to pick it up, the shipper reported that the order was all 140,000 VND, when I asked her about it, it was only 139,000. My sister asked: Oh, can the shipper round the money up like this? Or is this a new policy that I I don't know," the girl said.
After that, the female customer contacted the male shipper and this person replied: "To tell you the truth, you are really stuck. Soon I will give you 1 thousand". The girl did not agree to receive the money and reported the incident to the operator, causing him to have his account locked.
"I sent a message to the shipper to give suggestions, the shipper will slap the customer in the face. I don't regret 1,000 or a few thousand, but I just want the shipper to quote the real price to the customer. I think how much tip is your right. Even if I have applied a discount code, the ship has received the order, so I should be honest with the customer. Shipper just round the money arbitrarily, so I should remove the tip mode," the female customer wrote.
After posting, the above article attracted thousands of comments on the forums. The online community is divided into two streams of opinion, some people think that the male shipper's arbitrarily rounding money is completely wrong in nature, moreover, arguing with customers is a taboo thing for service workers.
Others expressed that the female customer was "right in reason but wrong in love". It is not advisable to "exploit" each other on social networks for 1,000 VND.
Mr. Dinh H. (29 years old, in Hanoi) is the male shipper mentioned in the above story. Sharing more with PV, Mr. Hong admitted that on the evening of May 14, when delivering an order to a female customer in Gia Lam, he automatically rounded the amount from 139,000 to 140,000 VND.
"The weather that day was sultry and hot, so I was also a bit frustrated, my attitude towards customers. My mistake was to take 140,000 because I didn't have money to return it. I climbed upstairs and delivered food to my friend. I also think that the difference of 1,000 is very normal, I don't think that you should teach me to be honest about texting."
Before many comments on social networks about how to talk to guests, Mr. H. admitted his mistake and said he would learn from experience.
"I don't think I'm right and I really shouldn't tell customers like that. But I've been locked out of my account, accepted to lose my job, but you can still hide yourself on the pages," Mr. H. confided.
In recent years, along with the development of e-commerce platforms, delivery has become quite popular in Vietnam. In fact, it is not difficult to see the image of shippers placing orders every day like a "grocery store" at the foot of an apartment complex or an office building for convenient delivery to customers.
According to a report last year by the Good Work exchange, drivers and shippers are the group of unskilled workers with the highest wages and the strongest growth (up 11.2%) in the first 6 months of 2022.
Statistics show that the average salary of drivers and shippers in Ho Chi Minh City during the above period fluctuated at 9.5 million VND/month. This figure in Binh Duong and Dong Nai is 10 million VND/month and 10.5 million VND/month, respectively.
However, many people said that this job is not easy because it requires health and agility. Shippers have to deliver goods regardless of rain or shine, be patient, deliver and deliver many times to complete an order. There are many situations where the shipper is bombed by customers, bursting with money, so it directly affects the economy...
In order to better serve customers, trading floors, food delivery apps... have equipped with service evaluation features and hotlines. Since then, there have been many controversial stories related to delivery and transportation services, which the story of the female customer above is one of them.
Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai made a shocking decision with the male shipper to save 10 people in a mini apartment fire Keng14:35:06 16/09/2023In recent days, a mini apartment fire on Khuong Ha street, Hanoi has made public opinion sad.
