One of the customers who brought relatives here for cremation also confirmed that more than 1 year ago, the cremation price was 3.5 million VND and relatives could put the sarcophagus or urn of ashes in on the condition that they pay an additional 900,000 VND. However, recently, guests are not allowed to bring in sarcophagi or jars of ashes, force.d to buy there at the lowest price of nearly 10 million VND.

In addition, people also reflected that when put into the incinerator, the staff will bait if they want to pay an additional amount of mone.y with beautiful bones. Accordingly, the cost is an additional 3.5 million VND if the customer wants to get beautiful bones. According to the general price, the initial cremation (cremation) service contract is 4.5 million VND, but when making the contract, the contractor only invests in the price of 8 million VND and 10 million VND (i.e. ignoring the package of 4.5 million VND and saying that there are only 2 packages of 8 million and 10 million VND).

In addition, when signing a contract of 4.5 million VND, the staff will bait if people want to get beautiful bones, they will pay another 3.5 million. "The total amount our family has to spend is more than 18 million VND," Mr. Chu Thanh, who lives in Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province, informed.

Mr. Thanh suggested that the authorities of Nam Dinh province need to soon enter the inspection to clarify so that relatives who have lost their cremation are no longer force.d to buy sarcophagi or urns of ashes at high prices.

Clause 15, Article 4 of the Law on Prices 2023 defines Price Listing as follows: "Price Listing is a form of publicizing the purchase and sale prices of goods and services of organizations and individuals trading in goods and services in order to ensure convenience for the observation and identification of customers and competent state agencies".

Organizations and individuals trading in goods and services shall clearly and not cause confusion to customers about the purchase and sale prices of goods and services in the following forms: printing, pasting, writing information on boards, paper or directly on the packaging of goods or forms suitable to the actual conditions at the place of sale of goods, provide services or on websites to facilitate the observation and identification of guests and competent state agencies.

Organizations and individuals are not allowed to sell higher than the listed price; for goods and services specifically priced by the State, organizations and individuals trading in goods and services must post up and sell them at the prices promulgated by the State agencies competent to set prices; for goods and services for which the minimum price, maximum price and price bracket have been promulgated by the state agency with pricing competence, they must be posted and sold at prices suitable to the minimum price, maximum price and price bracket. Organizations and individuals trading in goods and services shall adjust the posted prices as soon as there is a change in the prices of goods and services.

Regarding the fine level of between VND 500,000 and VND 1,000,000 for one of the following acts: Failing to post prices of goods and services in one of the forms prescribed by law; Posting unclear prices of goods and services, causing confusion to customers; Posting prices of goods and services that are not in accordance with the specific prices decided by competent state agencies or organizations and individuals.

A fine of between VND 5,000,000 and VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for selling goods and services higher than the listed prices of goods and services valued or declared by organizations and individuals other than Clause 3, Article 13 of Decree 87/2024/ND-CP. A fine of between VND 20,000,000 and VND 30,000,000 shall be imposed for selling goods and services on the list of price stabilization, goods and services higher than the posted price during the period when the State implements price stabilization.
