On the occasion of a major national holiday, the young generation of Vietnam took turns expressing their patriotism in the Gen Z style. The young generation took turns expressing their patriotism and gratitude to the Fatherland in a sincere, simple and creative way.
Instead of just learning history through books, Gen Z chooses to "dance with history". Short videos combining youthful dance moves and concise historical content become a unique bridge between the past and the present. The dance moves are not to show off talent, but to express respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of their ancestors. There is also the aspiration for a bright future, a powerful homeland, all conveyed by Gen Z in the language of their time - lively, fast, but full of emotion.
In addition, many young people also choose to spread the message of patriotism through check-in photos with the red flag with yellow star. From familiar streets to historical landmarks, the flag has become a vivid symbol of national pride. For Gen Z, it is not simply a moment to keep but an affirmation: patriotism is always present in every bea.t of life and is an indispensable part of personal identity.
On the eve of the April 30th celebration - the day of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, singer Phuong My Chi unexpectedly stirred up a wave of patriotism on social networks through an emotional transformation video. Using the background music of the song "Faraway Stars" - a song associated with the image of brave female volunteers in the midst of war - the singer born in 2003 skillfully combined nostalgic and modern elements to convey a message of patriotism and gratitude to the previous generation.
In the less than a minute long video, Phuong My Chi appears with her usual youthful, gentle appearance. After a few seconds of scene transition, she "transforms" into the image of a female soldier with a blue military uniform, neatly braided hair, determined eyes and a strong demeanor. The image is reminiscent of the female youth volunteers who went through bombs and bullets, crossed forests and waded through streams to make silent achievements in the history of the nation.
In particular, the choice of background music as "Faraway Stars" - a song inspired by the work of the same name by Le Minh Khue - also shows Phuong My Chi's investment and deep intention. The vibrant, powerful melody and iconic lyrics have created a solid emotional foundation, making the video not only a visual trend but also a catalyst to recall history and pay tribute to silent sacrifices.
Immediately after being posted, the video quickly received millions of views, tens of thousands of likes and shares. Many viewers left comments praising the singer's creativity, and expressed their emotions at the message she conveyed. "I really got goosebumps watching this clip. Phuong My Chi is so delicate and profound," wrote one viewer. Another user shared: "Thank you Chi for reminding us of a part of the nation's heroic memories."
It is worth noting that the transformation trend in the style of female soldiers has quickly spread in the online community, especially among young people. Not only stopping at entertainment, this trend is gradually becoming a form of "soft education", helping young people approach history in a more intimate, creative and emotional way.
Not only renewing her personal image, she also proactively connects art with social and historical messages. Creating a humane trend right before an important historical milestone of the country not only demonstrates her acumen and creativity but also shows the responsibility of the young artist in spreading positive values.
Amidst a "forest" of humorous and entertaining content on digital platforms, the fact that a young singer like Phuong My Chi chose to go against the flow with a profound message, and attracted widespread attention, is clear proof that audiences - especially young people - still have a need to connect with history and traditional values if conveyed properly.
From a simple transformation video, Phuong My Chi has evoked a great flow of emotions, inspiring patriotism and national pride. This is not only a beautiful act on the eve of April 30, but also a reminder that: the distant stars of that day are still shining in the hearts of Vietnamese people today.
