While working at a coffee shop, a 26-year-old woman was repeatedly physically attacked by her ex-husband. She ran away but was not let go, causing serious injuries and requiring hospitalization.
On June 9, An Phu Ward Police, Thuan An City, took statements from Dang Van Hung (29 years old, from Nghe An, the person who physically injured his ex-wife) and related people to clarify his criminal signs.
According to images recorded by the camera, at around 10:30 a.m. on June 7, while Ms. VTML (26 years old, from Nghe An) was working at a coffee shop on 22/12 Street (An Phu Ward), her ex-husband Dang Van Hung (29 years old, from the same hometown) came to visit.
Here, a conflict broke out between the two people, leading to an argument in front of the restaurant. At this time, Hung used his hands to continuously physically hit Ms. L.'s face, forcing her to call for help. Discovering the incident, another person nearby came to intervene, but Hung continued to physically hit his ex-wife's face and head, causing her to be injured and then run into the restaurant.
After the physical impact, Hung left the scene on his motorbike. Ms. L. was taken to An Phu General Hospital by her colleagues for emergency treatment. The hospital's conclusion showed that Ms. L. had injuries to her left cheek and left arm, and had to have stitches.
Next, Ms. L. also reported to the police for handling. It is known that Ms. L. and Hung were once husband and wife, with three children together. At the end of April, the two divorced according to the verdict of the People's Court of Do Luong district, Nghe An province. It is unclear why the man attacked his ex-wife like that.
Previously, public opinion was also extremely outraged by the clip recording the scene of a husband using a broom and slippers to throw at his wife, causing her to be hospitalized, which happened in Tuyen Quang. The victi.m was Ms. Nguyen Thi M. (36 years old, living in Tan Lap village, Vinh Loi commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province). Ms. M. had to be hospitalized in a state of panic and had a damaged eardrum.
The family said that this woman was often beaten by her husband but chose to endure it. This time, seeing that Ms. M. was in so much pai.n, the family posted the incident on social media, hoping to get justice for the wife. At the time of the incident, the couple had an argument. The husband grabbed a mop and threw it at his wife. Despite family members' attempts to stop him, the husband continued to hit his wife with the mop.
Ms. H. said that her sister and her husband are both workers and have a difficult life with 4 small children. Recalling the day of the incident, Ms. H. said that after calling her sister (Ms. M.) many times, she did not answer the phone. Feeling worried, she asked a nephew who lived nearby to come over and check and discovered the incident.
"This conflict also only originated from daily meals. When my sister said her husband went out drinking and did not cook for the children, she was immediately physically affected. This time, I decided to post the video on social media in the hope of receiving help. My point of view is that I hope the matter will be resolved satisfactorily, and the law will intervene to restore justice for my sister," said Ms. H.
