Patient 430 (female, 33 years old, address in Hai Chau 2 ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) has a history of end-stage chronic renal failure, heart failure, hypertension, sepsis. On July 23, this woman was very tired, had difficulty breathing, so she went to the doctor and was hospitalized for treatment at the Department of Internal Medicine, Da Nang Hospital. Doctors diagnosed the patient with acute pneumonia caused by Covid-19. On August 1, the patient was intubated, mechanically ventilated, and underwent ECMO (artificial cardiopulmonary bypass) 2 days later. At 22:30 on August 9, the patient was in critical condition, appearing to have stopped breathing. Patient 430 died at 0:30 am on August 10.
