During the search, the police confiscated evidence including many devices used to organize bets, more than 15,000 pages of related documents and many savings books, and blocked billions of dong in accounts. bank of subjects.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to work with Ho Chi Minh City Police to clarify the illegal acts of the two subjects mentioned above. Recently, police units and localities have destroyed many lines and gangs organizing football betting over the Internet.

Typically, in December 2023, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police destroyed a football betting ring, arresting 9 subjects with a total transaction amount of over 3.5 million USD in more than 1 month, equivalent to about 176 billion USD. copper.

April 2024, City Police. Ho Chi Minh destroyed a network of organizing football betting on the internet led by Tang Van Khai with a limit of 1,000,000 points, equivalent to 6 billion VND.

In June 2024, Da Nang City Police destroyed a network of online soccer betting organizations led by Nguyen Van Trung with a soccer betting account limit of 100,000 Yen, equivalent to 1 billion VND.

In fact, the work of fighting and handling crimes related to soccer betting shows that soccer betting is very diverse in form and scale. From spontaneous, simple, and small formations to lines and gangs organized in cyberspace operating inter-provincially and transnationally, with very sophisticated tricks, with a scale of tens of thousands of participants. Criminals betting on football in cyberspace have taken full advantage of the development of science and technology, their operations are complex and increasingly sophisticated, but their crimes all leave traces and will be punished by law enforcement. detection, investigation and strict handling functions.

To proactively prevent and fight against criminals participating in soccer betting on cyberspace, the Ministry of Public Security recommends that each citizen be fully aware of the good entertainment values of the sport of soccer. , watch football with a healthy entertainment mindset; Do not participate in soccer betting or organize soccer betting in any form.
