When they see beggars on the street, many will feel sympathy and do not hesitate to pull out their wallets and give them some money. However, there are also cases of fake poverty faking misery to ask for money.
Tutors, disabled people, missing roads and sick children because of poverty... are scenes that the "eater does not sit", the true lazy worker often uses to bypass passersby to earn a living. Sometimes reluctant to spend a small amount of money to help, but it is just a drama set up to trick.
Recently, officials from the social welfare department in the Maran district of Pahang, Malaysia, spotted a man begging at the night market but owning a high-end sports car.
Earlier, during a surprise inspection aimed at eliminating begging at Sri Jaya's night market, authorities spotted a man wearing a grey shirt and a Muslim hat begging for money from tourists and small businesses. However, his hands were quite small, white, not unlike those of a toiler. This denounced this beggar.
An official shared information about the man: "This person was carrying a paper bag, begging for sympathy from passersby. He has small hands, unlike normal human hands that do hard work."
At police headquarters, the man remained silent, refusing to cooperate during interrogation. Suspecting that the man might be deaf-mute, the police immediately asked him to show his identification. Unexpectedly, he testified that the personal papers were in his car, surprising officials about the beggar's wealth.
Admitting his mistakes, the man said that on average he earns more than S$140 (about 2.5 million) a day begging at the night market, even though he owns a super sports car worth about VND730 million.
The man, who lives in Kelantan, has received a pension every year since 2001. The allowance that this person receives is for people with disabilities, worth about 95 USD (more than 2.3 million VND) a year. The man added that most of his begging income was used to pay for his expensive car. After questioning, the man was released, only to be given a warning because Pohang police thought his behavior was a first offense.

In another similar case, a man in Pingshan City, Henan Province, saw an elderly man begging on the street to ask for money. Seeing that the old man with gray hair, ragged clothes, legs against canes looked very miserable, the man gave the old man 2 yuan (about 7 thousand dong).
Unexpectedly, in the afternoon, this man went to the bank to send money to meet the old beggar in the morning. However, this time the old man did not ask for money anymore, but instead went to save money.
Even the beggar man stood at the VIP counter when sending 5,000 RMB (about 17.7 million VND), while the other man only had 1,000 RMB (about 3.5 million VND) to send. Not to mention, when he went to the bank to deposit money, this beggar also drove a luxury car that even well-off people could not buy.
A woman surnamed Zhang said her colleague and the beggar lived in the same neighborhood. In fact, the old man has a very good family, has a wife and children and has savings of up to 200,000 yuan (about 709 million VND).
The police then stepped in to verify the facts. They said the man, who is in his 70s, has a leg defect but is not sick, and has a car, house and savings. Because he didn't want to work, he decided to become a "professional beggar" to make it easier to earn money. However, due to harassing the driver to ask for money, the elderly man is in administrative detention.
