Devoting a lot of thoughts to exploring the theme of women on the big screen, Zhencheng shared: "I love and appreciate women. They have a lot of hidden corners and untold stories, so I wanted to do something for people to see and feel, empathize with and appreciate women more. Ba Nu and Mai's house are two different worlds in terms of art as well as the story and the interior of each character. In Ms. Nu's House, women are hurt but hurt others, while in Mai, although still hurt, the way women face and choose is completely different."

When moving to a new apartment complex, Mai (Phuong Anh Dao) constantly encountered scrutiny and discrimination from the surrounding people and colleagues. The only person who loves her is her "real guest" named Dao (Hong Dao). Among the newcomers in Mai's life is Duong (Tuan Tran) - a famous "girl killer". Yang relentlessly pursued Mai. However, their relationship soon encountered turbulence when Mai was not only many years older than Duong but also had a tragic past.

Mai continues to promote Zhencheng's strengths in building characters close to real life. It can be said that Mai is a girl "at the bottom of society", at the age of 37 too old, but her beautiful appearance makes the neighbors jealous and jealous. Besides Mai's story, the conflict between Duong and her mother is also very well built. Like the Grandmother's House, they are all victims of an incomplete family where the mother is overprotective and the child cannot escape the shadow. The beauty of Mai is that there are no right people, no wrong people. It was all because their fate was so grim.

Unfortunately, Zhencheng is still a little greedy for details and wants to draw tears from viewers' eyes as much as possible. Therefore, towards the end, Mai becomes more dragged and rambled by superfluous details. Many scenes could have been trimmed or omitted to condense the emotion but were unnecessarily lengthened. The beginning of the film is still quite noisy, reminding viewers of the Woman's House. Some of the climactic scenes are still irrational in trying to force the character to go through tragedy by hurting them all.
