Hari Won's husband has just shared about the first new project, which is coming in the near future. Continuing to exploit the theme of women on the big screen, he devoted a lot of thoughts and feelings to this work.

Not long ago, the project called "Mai" led by Zhencheng officially unveiled the first poster and first-look trailer with the appearance of actor Phuong Anh Dao. This is his 3rd feature film, after the previous 2 successful works, The Godfather (2021) and The Woman's House (2023).

In the past year, "Nha Ba Nu" broke the Vietnamese box office when it set a revenue record of VND 475 billion to become the highest-grossing film in the history of Vietnamese cinema. 3 years with 2 impressive movies every Tet holiday, the return of director Tran Thanh and the Mai project in Tet 2024 makes the audience look forward to it.

If the 2nd work revolves around the touching story of women with the same family: Ngoc Nu, Ngoc Nhu and Ngoc Nhi, then in the new film, husband Hari Won focuses on the life of a woman with a special fate named Mai.

"I love and cherish women. They have a lot of hidden corners and untold stories. I wanted to do something for people to see and feel, to empathize with and appreciate women more.

"Ba Nu House" and "Mai" are two different worlds in terms of art as well as the story and the interior of each character. In "Grandma's House", we see women who are hurt but hurt others, while in "Mai", although still hurt, the way women face and choose is completely different", Tran Thanh shared.

During the production of the new project, the artist also made many changes compared to previous film projects, the most important thing is to keep the mentality as comfortable as possible. "In the past, I didn't keep much composure, because it was my first time directing, angled and playing my role.

Coming to this project, I entered the project with the best mentality, my way of working was also lighter and more comfortable. The film gave me a lot of positive energy, from shootin.g beautiful images, having creative camera angles, actors also playing very well. Maybe this is what every filmmaker wants," he said.

According to Zhencheng, right after completing the film "The Godfather", he started preparing the script for the project "Mai". This is also the work that the artist devotes the most effort and enthusiasm to now.

3 years living with the project, plus 47 days of filming and thorough post-production time, director Tran Thanh could not hide his excitement when preparing to introduce his "brainchild" to the audience.

The first poster and first-look trailer of "Mai" are receiving positive feedback from the audience after 1 week of release. From the first sweet love movies revealed by Mai (played by Phuong Anh Tao) and Duong (played by Tuan Tran), it is expected to become a romantic couple not inferior to Ngoc Nhi (Uyen An) and John (Song Luan) in Ba Nu's House.

In particular, the combination for the first time between Tran Thanh - director with 2 films guaranteeing revenue and quality and Phuong Anh Dao - the "muse" of Vietnamese cinema creates curiosity and expectations for the audience about the film "Mai".

In addition, the film also has the participation of familiar faces such as: People's People of Viet Anh, Hong Dao, Uyen An, Ngoc Rich, Kha Nhu, Quoc Khanh,... scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2024 (1st Lunar New Year).

Zhencheng added that the opening ceremony of the film "Mai" coincided with the birthday of the heroine Phuong Anh Dao (April 30). He and the crew celebrated a surprise birthday, causing her to cry with emotion.

According to Hari Won's husband, the journey to find Ms. Mai on the film was very difficult and he invited Ly Nha Ky, Ngoc Trinh, Ngan Khanh, Miu Le, Salim to audition.
