Recently, in Ho Chi Minh City, there have been many fires in factories and factories, causing human and material damage, causing anxiety for many people. Not long ago, a fabric warehouse fire in Tan Phu district mobilized more than 50 police responders.
According to a source from the Labourer, on the morning of July 14, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Police Fire and Rescue Department (PC07) said that at about 21:00 on July 13, the rags warehouse on Huynh Thien Loc Street, Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District (HCMC) caught fire violently.
At this time, the warehouse was empty, many households living next door used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but failed. The fire broke out violently, engulfing the entire warehouse, 5 meters away more than 20 trucks and 7-16 seater cars were parked. The smell of chemicals wafts hazy in residential areas.
Living next to the warehouse, Mr. Hoang, 55, said it was raining at the time, when suddenly a flash of light like lightning hit the metal roof of the warehouse, causing a fire. "The fire broke out after only 1-2 minutes with many explosions," Hoang said.
Eight fire engines and more than 50 soldiers responded to the scene. Firefighters quickly pulled water cannons, zoned the fire to prevent it from spreading to cars, and others brought oxygen tanks to put out the fire.
By nearly 22h, the fire was under control, causing no casualties, but burning many properties and goods. Part of the warehouse collapsed.
Many fires occur in industrial parks and factories, causing great damage to people and property up to billions of VND, which is something no one wants. Most factories are usually self-contained. Even many rooms do not have windows, only large doors for exporting and importing goods. Because of this sealed structure, when a fire occurs, it is difficult for outsiders to detect.
Besides, the tools and chemicals inside the factory "fuel" the fire even more. By the time it was discovered, the fire may have gotten out of control.
Factories and factories often have a very large operating capacity. Power overload is a frequent occurrence. In addition, the phenomenon of short circuits and open transmission lines is often not detected in time.
The electrical short caused a fire in one location, then quickly spread to the whole factory. If not detected and handled quickly, the consequences are extremely serious.
Most factories have their own kitchens. It contains many flammable and explosive tools, using strong electricity. Gas leakage may occur. Cooking utensils often change the heat level continuously, easily leading to a short circuit.
The welding and firing machines in the factory are also a great risk of fire outbreak. Hot debris, flammable items that the worker does not notice can ignite at any time.
Factory fires come from many causes, most of which are caused by human production activities. Therefore, activities inside the factory need to be checked regularly, ensuring the safety of facilities and human life.
