Taxi overturned in Da Lat: Shocking story of the victim, critical situation

On November 29, information from Lam Dong General Hospital said that the unit is actively treating Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh (21 years old), the person involved in the electric car overturning incident in Da Lat city.

At the time of hospitalization, Ms. Anh had a brain injury, cervical spinal cord injury, lung injury, abdominal effusion... After emergency care and treatment, Ms. Anh was conscious but had paralyzed legs, weak arms, and stable blood pressure.

Ms. Anh’s most serious injury is related to her cervical spine. She has been receiving intensive treatment from doctors and nurses at Lam Dong General Hospital since her admission.

Her family is currently completing procedures to transfer her to Ho Chi Minh City for further treatment. Her husband, Nguyen Van Son (26 years old), residing in Hanoi, was also a victim of the car accident. He only suffered minor injuries.

The most tragic thing was that their 1-year-old daughter did not survive. The driver, Mr. Ho Xuan Long, also suffered soft tissue injuries and minor scratches. Mr. Nguyen Van Son said, “I had just gotten in the car for a while when I saw the car going very fast. Then, the car flipped over.”

A representative of the taxi company said that the unit has provided initial support of 100 million VND to Mr. Son's family. The electric car taxi company has also sent people to the hospital to take care of the victim. The taxi company is also coordinating with the authorities to clarify the cause of the collision.

Previously, at around 10:50 a.m. on November 28, taxi with license plate 50H-532.87, driven by driver Ho Xuan Long, carried 3 tourists from Hanoi: Mr. Nguyen Van Son (26 years old), Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh (21 years old, Mr. Son's wife) and Nguyen Linh D (1 year old, Mr. Son's daughter) to visit Ta Nung commune, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province.

When the car reached the bend in front of the Wilder Nest tourist attraction, the driver accelerated and crashed into the curb, rolling several times. The collision killed D, while Mr. Son and his wife and driver Long had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment. According to Giao thong newspaper, Mr. Vo Ngoc Trinh (Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province) visited and encouraged the family at Lam Dong General Hospital.

Lado Taxi Company has sent staff to the hospital to take care of the victim and provided 100 million VND in support to the family. At the same time, the company is coordinating with the authorities to clarify the cause of the collision and committed to taking responsibility for remedying the consequences.

After the collision, authorities conducted a quick test on driver Ho Xuan Long and found no illegal substances or blood alcohol levels. Driver Long had only been driving the vehicle with license plate 50H-532.78 for 2 days.

On the same afternoon, Mr. Vo Ngoc Trinh - Vice Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee visited the family of the tourist who had an accident while sightseeing at the hospital. On behalf of Da Lat City People's Committee, Mr. Trinh expressed condolences for the loss of the tourist's family and provided 35 million VND in support.

After the heartbreaking incident, Mr. Son shared a deep emotional message to say goodbye to his little daughter, making many people feel sorry. "Goodbye, my child. I'm sorry for not raising you properly. You're a good girl, remember to be our daughter in the next life. When you leave, remember to bless your mother to survive this disaster."
