Through the investigation process, Lam Dong Provincial Police initially determined that the location where Mr. Quang burned MQ's body was not in Dam Rong district (Lam Dong province) but in a garden of Mr. Quang in Dak Lak province.

In addition, Ms. Bich was not innocent in this case as she had previously testified at the police station. Mrs. Bich was determined to know MQ's death and helped Mr. Quang to cremate her body.

Specifically, after Mr. Quang and Mrs. Bich learned that MQ had died, the two discussed bringing him back to his family in Hue. However, at that time, knowing that Mr. NHN was ill, fearing that his family would be shocked, Mr. Quang and Mrs. Bich did not inform the family and authorities, but voluntarily burned Q's body.

The two defendants then took the child's body to Mr. Quang's garden in Dak Lak and burned the baby.

Previously, at the investigating agency, Mr. Quang said that on March 3, after receiving the baby from NHN's family, he took the baby to a rented house in Loc Tien ward (Lam Dong province) to take care of and nurture him. . At the house that Mr. Quang rented, there was also Mrs. Bich as a maid.

2 days after receiving him, Mr. Quang saw that he had cough and fever, so he checked and found that he was positive for COVID-19. Mr. Quang asked Mrs. Bich to buy medicine. After taking the medicine, the fever was gone. On March 8, Quang informed NHN's family that he had COVID-19 and had recovered.

On March 24, the child continued to have cough and fever, when Mr. Quang tested himself for COVID-19, the result was positive. At 22:00 on the same day, Mr. Quang went to bed. At about 2:00 on March 25, Quang checked and found that the baby was dead.

Reported to the investigative agency, Mr. Quang said that because he was afraid that his family's health would be affected, he did not report the incident to the child's family as well as to the local government. Mr. Quang put the baby's body in a cardboard box and sealed it with duct tape.

Mr. Quang also took another cardboard box to put coal, gasoline, oil, iron bucket in and sealed it, then put it all in his car.

After preparing all the items, Mr. Quang called Mrs. Bich up to drive him to Dam Rong district (Lam Dong) and stopped at a dirt road in this district. Mr. Quang said Mrs. Bich went to the highway to wait, and I stayed to meet with a friend to discuss work, when it was finished, I would call.

After Mrs. Bich left, Mr. Quang personally brought down 2 cardboard boxes from the car and burned MQ's body in an iron bucket. After about 4-5 hours, Mr. Quang finished burning the baby's body, then cooled the iron bucket and put it back in a cardboard box, cleaning the scene.

Mr. Quang called Mrs. Bich and then they both went back to Khanh Hoa province. The next morning (March 26), the two continued to return to Hue City. At this time, Mr. Quang informed Mrs. Bich that the baby had died from COVID-19 and that he had burned the baby's body.

As for Mrs. Bich, who accompanied Mr. Quang, but before that, at the police station, Ms. Bich said that before leaving Hue city, this woman did not know that her grandson had died.

Bich said after picking her up from the hotel, about 2-3 days later, Mr. Quang announced that the baby had COVID-19. Mr. Quang said she went to buy medicine for him to treat COVID-19 for the baby. A few days later, Mr. Quang said that the baby was less sick.

On the morning of March 25, when Mrs. Bich was sleeping, Mr. Quang asked her to drive him to work in the direction of Dam Rong district. When he arrived in Dam Rong district, Mr. Quang asked her to find a coffee shop to wait for him to stay and meet his partner to discuss business. At about 2pm on the same day, Ms. Bich turned to drive Mr. Quang to Hue City.

Mrs. Bich said that she knew about the death of MQ when they both arrived in Hue city and Mr. Quang asked her to buy a crock pot. Because of fear of involvement, Ms. Bich did not help Mr. Quang put the ashes in the jar.
