According to PLO's verification, the place where the poisoning incident occurred was a house of about 200 square meters on Nguyen Van Huong Street, Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City. This house is rented by the owner to guests to organize events.
On December 7, when a group of guests finished eating and drinking and left, the house manager hired four female housekeepers to clean up. There was still a lot of food and drink on the table. There is a type of cake that resembles a cookie.
While cleaning, three female housekeepers DTP (38 years old, Thu Duc City), PTH (43 years old) and PTKH (31 years old) took a cookie-like cake and invited each other to eat, another female housekeeper did not eat it.
After eating, a few minutes later, all three people had symptoms of drowsiness, loss of control, and signs of poisoning, so the remaining female maid took them to Le Van Thinh Hospital for emergency treatment.
At the hospital, Ms. P entered the emergency department in a state of drowsiness and lost the ability to interact. Particularly, Ms. PTH and PTKH were hospitalized with a state of feeling lightheaded, dizzy and similar symptoms.
Contacting the doctors, family members said that about an hour before, the patients had eaten a cake of unknown origin, similar to cookies. After eating the cake, everyone felt dizzy, drowsy, gradually drowsy, and did not answer calls, so they were taken to the emergency room.
Performing tests, the results of all three people showed positive for the banned substance marijuana.
The incident was then investigated and verified by Thao Dien Ward Police and Thu Duc City Police. Through checking the scene, the police discovered about 40 balloon shells, many types of food, drinks and biscuit-like cakes.
Currently the case is under investigation expanded.

During the patient's emergency treatment and resuscitation, doctors at the National Children's Hospital sent a cake sample to be tested for toxins. Results showed that the cake sample contained a new type of banned substance, also known as "flying chocolate".
According to specialist doctor II Nguyen Tan Hung, Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency and Poison Control, National Children's Hospital, addictive substances "hide" in foods such as candy, chocolate candy, mango candy, and lollipops. laced with marijuana, cookies... increase the risk of children being exposed to and poisoned by banned substances.
The Ministry of Public Security, in its warning about criminals using sophisticated methods, also said that banned substances are disguised by criminals in two forms: Goods (cakes, candy, functional foods, pharmaceuticals...) containing banned substances or mixed, marinated, packaged in the form of food, drinks, herbs, electronic drugs...
