After a series of noisy questions, the director of the Raising Em project, Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung, posted the post the night before everything spread. Hoang Hoa Trung announced that he would temporarily stop receiving money for auditing.
In the past two days, the Raising Em charity project suddenly became the focus of debate when there were many reflections related to the transparency of revenue and expenditure and the operation process. In the face of a growing wave of questions, at midnight yesterday, Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung, also the founder of the Raising Em Project, posted a long article, answering many questions and announcing important decisions to comprehensively review financial transparency.
According to Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung, fundraising accounts at banks will be temporarily frozen for 15 days from December 8, 2025. This is to "interrupt the flow of revenue and expenditure", create conditions for the statistical process of all data over the years, and at the same time invite an independent audit unit to participate in the review.
Mr. Trung frankly said that he was also skeptical whether he could ensure 100% accuracy in revenue and expenditure activities. Therefore, an independent inventory is necessary to give the most objective answer to the community.
One of the most attention-grabbing information is that the project will temporarily stop spending money on student feeding, in order to prioritize receiving feedback and handling all questions from sponsors. This is the first time in 11 years of operation, Nursing Em has to temporarily stop providing boarding meals for children.
This immediately created a great wave of concern. Many people think transparency is necessary, but the decision to suspend meals can put the most vulnerable children at a disadvantage.
An online account expressed frustration: "We closed from the beginning of the school year, that is, the project must be fully spent until mid-2026. It is impossible to collect a full year in advance and then when it comes to difficulties, it is paused, so that the money is in the account and the children's meals are stopped in the middle."
Another parent also said that support must be maintained stably until a final conclusion is reached: "Review is necessary, but activities related to children should not be interrupted."
In the face of public concerns, the project affirmed that it will coordinate with schools and local authorities to find temporary solutions, in order to avoid interrupting students' meals. At the same time, all personnel will focus on receiving feedback, collating data and feedback for each sponsor through the link published in the article.
In the announcement, Mr. Trung said that he had answered 14 major questions related to project operation, management of child adoption codes, overlapping information and revenue payment processes. However, many opinions on social networks said that the project needs to give a clearer roadmap, especially the time of announcing the audit results.
Many people emphasized that transparency is the only way for Nursing Em to continue its humanitarian journey over the past 11 years, but that transparency must be accompanied by the responsibility to protect children's rights.
The noise from the lack of transparency in the operation of the Raising Em fund not only made the audience angry but also inadvertently dragged Den Vau into the fray when the male rapper was once known as the one who helped the Raising Em project get closer to the public. Immediately after there were bad scandals, Den Vau's side spoke up to clarify the connection between themselves and this project. Den Vau shared that he himself only plays the role of a benefactor to donate to the project, but has nothing to do with the operating apparatus.
