A day after his arrest, Bui Vu Khoa (23 years old, from Bac Lieu province) – the suspect who attacked his wife's family members (Thanh Phu commune, Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province) gave initial statements about the cause of the massacre.

It is known that the house of Mr. S. (69 years old, Khoa's father-in-law, makes shrimp squares, about 40 meters from the nearest neighbor's house, about 80 meters from his brother's house, surrounded by luxuriant and many trees. Mr. S. and his wife have 5 children, who live separately.

At 7 a.m. on Nov. 26, Khoa began working on his plan with his wife, Mrs. K., when they were in the same room. Knowing that his wife had died, Khoa covered the victim's body with a blanket and went out to lie in a hammock thinking about how to harm his wife's parents.

The next development that prevented the faculty from taking action against Mr. S. and his wife was because Mr. S.'s son and his wife went to his biological father's house to play and organize cooking until 14:00 before leaving. At this time, seeing Mrs. K. lying in the room, everyone thought that this person was sleeping because of the fetus.

When Mr. S.'s son and his wife returned home, he continued to behave badly with his in-laws. He reached out to his mother first, then used heavy stones to drown her mother-in-law's body at the bottom of the pond.

After killing Mrs. G., about an hour later, she saw that her father-in-law, Mr. S., was in the room and attacked her father-in-law with a hammer. Thinking that Mr. S. was dead, Khoa threw the hammer into the pond next to the house and took 55 million VND from Mr. S. and his wife with the intention of exposing the fee when he fled.

However, he later discovered that Mr. S. was still alive and continued the physical impact until the victim did not survive. The department took the victim's vehicle away from the scene. The department also told neighbors that Mr. S.'s family was away so the house was closed.

5 days ago, Mr. S.'s third daughter called her father but Khoa picked up the phone. He told Mr. S. to travel in Can Tho and gave him his phone to fix it.

As has been reported, on the morning of December 4, Mr. S.'s youngest daughter, visiting the family, found the house locked, and no one spoke, while the smell of death was everywhere, so she shouted to the people to break down the door, and found Mr. S. and Mrs. K. dead in the bedroom; Mrs. G. was found about 50 yards from her home.

According to the head of the Criminal Police Department, the biggest difficulty is that the incident was discovered by the people, so the information spread on social networks at a dizzying speed. The department watched, knowing that the police had entered the investigation, so they continued to hide. In addition, the victim's relatives did not know Khoa's background, so the police also took a long time to search.

An official in Tan Phong commune, Gia Rai town (where Khoa permanently resides) said Bui Vu Khoa belongs to a difficult family. About 7-8 years ago, after leaving school, Khoa worked as a local self-defense militia. For some time he went to work for hire.
