The poisoning caused 12 students to be hospitalized. All cases had symptoms of abdominal pain, loose stools, fever, nausea, vomiting and were diagnosed by doctors as intestinal and digestive infections, acute gastritis, enteritis, and bacterial food poisoning. .

According to the Food Hygiene and Safety Department, the poisoning cases said they ate street food in front of Nguyen Van Troi High School in the morning and afternoon of March 28 and 29.

Active emergency treatment for 30 minutes was ineffective, and the diagnosis of out-of-hospital respiratory arrest was of unknown cause," a representative of the Department of Health said, at the same time. affirmed that his death was "not due to food poisoning".

Currently, the health of the remaining patients is stable and being monitored.

According to sample testing results of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute, surface samples of food containers at Ms. Duong Thi Hoang Oanh's facility detected Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli bacteria.

Through testing the patient's stool sample, 1 case tested positive for Salmonella spp. The investigation results also showed that up to 11/12 cases (accounting for 92%) had an incubation period of 6-24 hours, consistent with the incubation period caused by bacteria.

Accordingly, the Department of Health concluded from the above information about the incubation period and clinical symptoms; The results of the patient's food poisoning sample showed that the suspected cause was microorganisms.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene also requested the Department of Education and Training to direct schools to coordinate with local authorities in ending street trading in school areas. Propagate to parents and students to remind their children to absolutely not use food products of unknown origin, expired dates, or food safety.
