Teacher couple was attacked by brother over land dispute, relatives recount shocking story

On January 10, a source from the People's Committee of Ninh Hai Ward (Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province) confirmed that an incident had just occurred in the area, causing the deat.h of a couple who were teachers.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on January 10, in Dong Hai village, Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province. The victims were a couple of primary school teachers in Ninh Hai ward. Both were attacked with a knife, causing the wife to di.e on the spot, and the husband to di.e at the hospital. The victims were identified as LTTT (born in 1964) and her husband PVN (born in 1963), both residing in Dong Hai village, Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

According to Ms. T's family, before the above incident, the couple had a conflict with a man (born in 1961, living in the same locality) over a property dispute and then the heartbreaking incident above happened.

Ms. Le Thi Hoa, Ms. LTTT's younger sister, said that both husband and wife were teachers working locally. Ms. T had retired and Mr. N was only a few months away from retirement. Ms. Hoa said that her daughter-in-law discovered Mr. H. (Ms. T.'s brother, the victi.m in the incident) holding a sword and jumping over the fence, shouting. After that, Mr. H. went into the house, locked the door, and attacked the couple.

It is known that after committing the crime, H drank pesticide and is currently being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital, under strict police control.

Relatives added: "The 4 sisters in the family were left 14,000 m2 of land by their mother, currently worth about 16 billion VND. When the mother died without leaving a will, Mr. H kept all the documents related to the land. Recently, he cu.t off a part and sold it to his children in the family without discussing it with his sisters. Many people thought that "he wanted to monopolize the land" so they filed a lawsuit together at the People's Court of Ninh Hoa town 6 months ago.

During the process of working with both sides, the judge said that Mr. H's behavior was wrong, and asked everyone in the family to reconcile and sit down together to choose an agreement on dividing the inheritance. If no resolution can be reached, the court will hold a trial later.

"However, when he returned home, H still said 'this is my land, whoever touches it I will cu.t'. I thought he was threatening, but unexpectedly he actually did it. Three months ago, he also intended to use a knife to cu.t his youngest sister three times, but failed.

At this time, Mr. H brought a knife about 50 cm long, climbed over the fence and sneaked into the garden behind Mrs. T's house. When Mrs. T opened the door and was about to go out with her sister, he immediately restrained her and pushed her back into the house. Hearing Mrs. T shouting "don't kil.l me" and calling for help, relatives and his wife from the house next door ran over to knock on the door and call for H to stop, but were unsuccessful. The relatives quickly ran to call 4 more neighbors who were drinking coffee nearby to come and help, using many objects to break the front and back doors, but still failed.

"At that moment, everyone was panicking and helpless. The cries for help inside the house gradually died down," the relative said, her voice choked.

About 10 minutes later, Mr. H escaped through the back door, threw the murde.r weapon into a nearby puddle, and returned home. Everyone rushed inside and discovered that Mrs. T had died on the spot with multiple injuries, while Mr. N was still breathing, so they took him to the emergency room. However, he passed away on the way to the hospital due to excessive bloo.d loss.

"I am still haunted by Hung's actions. T and her husband have always been very affectionate and never quarreled with anyone, yet they have to face this situation," said a relative.

In the evening of the same day, many people gathered at the teacher's house to express their condolences to Ms. T's family. Khanh Hoa Provincial Police are collecting statements from those involved and clarifying the case.
