Recently, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police just rescued a male driver trapped in the truck cabin after a 7-seat car collision in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to sources from VTV News, around 4:30 p.m. on November 23, the male driver drove a 5-ton truck with license plate number 51C-873.38 on Vo Van Kiet Avenue, towards the Saigon River Tunnel to Binh Chanh District.
When approaching the Ong Lanh bridge area (District 1), this vehicle collided with a 7-seater car traveling in the same direction, then lost control and jumped onto the median strip, hitting a signpost and signal light.
Citing news from Tien Phong newspaper, the accident caused the truck cabin to be deformed, and the male driver was trapped inside. Discovering the incident, people around smashed the windows to get the driver out but failed.
Upon receiving the news, the traffic police force was present to separate the traffic and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police was present and used specialized equipment to break down the door and take the driver out. At this time, medical staff also arrived, performed first aid on the wound and then transferred the victim to the hospital for care.
The incident caused traffic congestion through the Ong Lanh Bridge area for more than 1km during rush hour. District 1 authorities and Ben Thanh Traffic Police Team are investigating the cause of the accident.
Previously, according to information from Life Health, around 10:20 p.m. on November 22, a passenger car with license plate number 47B-002.8... (driver unknown) carrying more than 20 passengers traveled on National Highway 1A in the south direction. - When approaching Thanh Luong village, Quang Xuan commune, Quang Trach district (Quang Binh), Bac lost control of the vehicle and crashed hard into the median strip. After the collision, more than 20 passengers in the car panicked, luckily no one was injured.
Citing news from Vietnam News Agency, at the scene, the concrete median was broken and moved across the opposite lane. The sleeper bus was severely damaged at the front.
Immediately after the accident occurred, functional forces and Quang Binh Provincial Traffic Police promptly arrived at the scene to handle and regulate traffic flow to avoid traffic jams. The cause of the accident is continued to be investigated and clarified by the authorities.
A similar case, according to sources from Dan Tri newspaper, an accident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on August 28 in Uyen Hung ward (Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong).
At that time, the car was driven by a male driver, circulating on the Dong Nai river embankment. When approaching the Rach Tre bridge, the car lost control, crashed into the embankment railing and crashed into the river. At this time, the male driver opened the car door, swam to shore and was quickly brought onto the boat by some people fishing in the Dong Nai river. The car sank into the river.
Upon receiving the news, Tan Uyen city authorities dispatched frogmen and specialized vehicles to the scene and carried out rescue work. Initially, the authorities determined that there was only one driver in the car.
At 5:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities were planning to bring the car from the river ashore to serve the investigation.
According to sources from VTC News, around 4:00 a.m. on August 10, driver Nguyen Van Lam (32 years old, from Gia Lai) drove a truck with Hoa Binh province license plate on the Hai Van tunnel path (Da Nang area) in the direction North South.
When arriving at bridge number 6, driver Lam's truck crashed into the rear of another vehicle moving in the same direction ahead. The strong impact caused the front of the truck to deform, driver Lam was injured and trapped in the cabin.
Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police and the Fire and Rescue Police were quickly present at the scene to regulate traffic and rescue victims. Police used hydraulic jacking equipment to jack up the deformed part of the cabin, creating space to get the victim out.
After about 15 minutes, the male driver was taken out and handed over to the medical staff for health care, so traffic was smooth.
