The physical impact incident at Sky Central apartment building left Ms. NT seriously injured, causing outrage in the community. Phuong Liet ward police quickly launched an investigation to prosecute the perpetrator according to the law.
On the evening of August 9, at the elevator lobby of Sky Central 176 Dinh Cong apartment building (Phuong Liet ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi), a serious physical impact incident occurred that shocked the public. The victim, Ms. NT (born in 1997), was repeatedly assaulted by a man in the same apartment building on her head, face and abdomen, causing injuries that required hospitalization.
According to the report of Ms. NT's family to Phuong Liet Ward Police, the incident happened at around 10:35 p.m. on August 9. At that time, Ms. T was standing in the lobby waiting for the elevator when suddenly a strange man used physical force on her, causing her to be seriously injured and had to be taken to Bach Mai Hospital for examination and treatment immediately afterwards.
Through the security camera footage of the apartment building, the incident was clearly seen. Before the violent act occurred, Ms. NT and the man had a tense exchange of words. After that, the man continuously used his hands and feet to hit Ms. T. Although the security forces and some residents quickly intervened, the subject continued to use violence against the victim.
Through investigation, the authorities identified the man who caused the incident as Dang CT (born in 1994), also residing at Sky Central 176 Dinh Cong apartment building. According to initial statements, there had been a conflict between the families of D.CT and Ms. NT before.
On the evening of August 9, when meeting Ms. NT on the first floor of the apartment building, D.CT came to talk. However, the conversation quickly turned into an argument. D.CT asked Ms. T to apologize to him but was not satisfied, leading to the use of force as recorded in the video. After the incident occurred and was prevented, D.CT left the scene but was quickly summoned to clarify the incident.
A video clip of the physical assault went viral on social media on the morning of August 10, drawing strong attention from the online community. Many expressed outrage at the act of violence, especially as the scene took place in front of many people, including children.
Mr. Nguyen Van D, a resident of the apartment building, said: "He used force on a weak girl as if he was participating in a boxing match. This behavior is unacceptable and there is no excuse." Meanwhile, Ms. NT's family said that the victim is still being treated at the hospital, is mentally disturbed, and needs psychological support.
Upon receiving the information, Phuong Liet Ward Police coordinated with other authorities to quickly arrive at the scene to collect evidence, including security cameras, and take statements from witnesses. At the same time, the police summoned D.CT to assist in the investigation.
The Commander of Phuong Liet Ward Police said: "As soon as we received the report, we promptly applied investigative measures, ensuring accurate verification, strictly handling the subject in accordance with legal regulations, and at the same time contributing to protecting security and order in the area."
This incident not only raises concerns about domestic violence and violence in the community, but also serves as a warning about the need to strengthen safety measures for apartment residents, especially women and children.
The incident occurred right in the apartment complex â a place considered safe â causing many residents to worry about the lack of strict management and coordination between the building management board and security forces.
Currently, Phuong Liet Ward Police are continuing to consolidate the case file and investigate to clarify the entire incident. D.CT will be held responsible before the law for the act of physically causing injury to Ms. NT. The strict handling will contribute to deterring and preventing similar acts of violence from occurring, while protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
